FUNDRAISER for Mama Donna's 75th birthday! Long but hopefully worth the read.

We hope you will help us raise funds for some much needed improvements to the rescue. Our lofty goal is $7500. The bid for the chain link fence work in the two videos PLUS a repair to the large field fence where we have the reunion is coming in about $5500.

We are working on a grant proposal but we may well not be selected AND the maximum amount available is $4000 so we need help.

Even when new dogs are not coming in, we have to care for the ones we have. Six months of Simparica for just four dogs comes in at nearly $900. When we do have a new dog come in, the expenses are usually pretty steep; spay/neuter, all shots, microchip and often a dental can lead to a four figure vet bill.

The rescue exists on your donations. Still, we say with all our hearts, make sure you take care on YOUR needs and at least some of your wants before donating. If we have to, we will break the work into several pieces. That will drive up the overall cost because of the set up fees, but we are determined to continue to improve the rescue facility and reduce our maintenance which takes us away from the dogs.

We are not doing a Go Fund Me because our Treasurer is a math person and ran a comparison on the PayPal fees and those for GFM.

We will ABSOLUTELY keep you informed of our progress and we thank you in advance for every dollar.

The amount over $1000 and up to $3000 will be matched dollar for dollar by a donor.

Sweet (L)Izzy is up for adoption as well! She is looking for a new home due to no fault of her own! She is such a smart baby! Also willing to help with transport, if approved! Completely vetted and ready to find her fur-ever home!

🚨WARNING: LONG POST🚨

As Thanksgiving is around the corner, I’d like to take a minute to touch base with all of my clients and friends.

First and foremost, these past three months have been so hectic for us. Since October, I had to take an unexpected trip to Illinois and help my family through the loss of my uncle. The day following his passing, we also lost the love of our life and fur child, Fisto. Since then, I have lost quite a few of my pack babies as well, including my Sweet Chance, Baby Elmo, Little Clover’s unexpected babies, my dear friend Jen’s Darling Rufus, and most recently and unexpectedly, my Best Buddy, Atlas. 😭
When I take care of your babies, they become a piece of me, too. “Goodbye” is the part of this job that nobody prepares you for.

With all of that said, there is SO MUCH to be thankful for… I want to start by thanking all of the owners of these pets for always working so hard to give them their best life. You are all amazing, and I am so greatful you all chose me to get to love them, too. 🥹❤️🫶 I am so greatful for all the other members of my “pack”, as well, and I cherish every moment with them.

I am also thankful to those who have shown me kindness, patience, compassion, appreciation, support, and love as I continue to grow into the world of a small business owner. It sure is one scary place, but with all of you, how could I fail? 🥰

Thirdly, I want to shout out to all the assistance I have had this year! It was a challenge to find someone I trusted to step in when ever my life demanded a break or threw me an unexpected twist.

Danielle Blomeley, you are a Godsend. Thank you for loving these babies as much as I do and always going above and beyond! You have been a tremendous blessing to me in so many ways, and an amazing friend through everything else behind the scenes.

Also, for Amber Parrish, Tristyn Morgan, Jenn Barwick, Robin Charlet Grayson, and so many others who have stepped up to help me out, cheer me on, and been my support system.

I would be nothing without all of you.

If anybody would be interested in helping, I’d be happy to transport to and from your home! They needs fosters for all size dogs and cats! Please message me if you’d be interested in hunkering down with an extra furry friend this week! All supplies are provided!

I just wanted to update everybody and let them know I was not able to transport. They were in the midst of closing early and all of the animals at the human society on the island have found fosters. There were only a few left at animal control as they were closing today. Thank you to everybody who reached out! Volunteers will always be in high demand, especially throughout hurricane season. I will keep you all posted❤️
