Private shops dont have a corporate to report to, so they always go for Google. Let's undress this long rant piece by piece!
1. We were forced to reschedule you. If the groomers cant pull out of their driveway because of snow, it HAS to be moved, and so did your deposit! Not our fault.
2. We have a street sign, purple and white streetside lol im not exactly sure why everyone cant see it.
3. Im with her on that one, the old banner needs to be taken down, shes been through alot since summer and is looking rough.
4. Shop is deep cleaned constantly. You might be smelling your own breeding male dogs p**s because although I was polite about it, we cleaned up 6 different marking spots in the lobby when you left, and unaltered male p*e smells strong! Its crazy becasue most clients point out us for smelling better than most shops.
5. Newborn? You mean my whopping 23lb toddler in her giant pack and play by my station ? Yea she wants more snacks. She rarely cries at work, my bad she was rushing me for more yogurt bites. Next time I'll make you wait so I can tend to her first.
6. For only 2 months since the last groom, they sure were matted. I strongly recommend taking care of your own dog between visits or find a groomer who does the job correctly (wasnt us last time) Because they both were matted.
7. We have a large team so we CAN get you in quickly lol π I did that on purpose, most small shops have like 1-2 groomers, mine has 5 and multiple bathers. I noticed alot of people want to get in quickly becasue they wait last minute. Sorry for trying to be prepared and ready? We were voted top salon in Missouri in 2024 and people drive from all the "rich" areas to still see us becasue we do it right and the dogs love us.
8. We didnt shave his face, or the females face. We gave you a teddy bear face and a round face with topknot bow and long ears on your female. I always question if my staff did the check in right, if they missed something and if maybe it fell on my staff and not poor communication. But this one I did myself. 3 staff members heard me repeat the haircut notes I repeated back to you. You knew they were going low at drop off. You didnt brush or comb since the last groomer and I didnt become a groomer to hear dogs scream in pain. Rip it out at home, I'm not hurting dogs in this shop.
9. Never had a coupon. If you read the ad it clearly says its $50 extra if you wait until christmas eve to make me stay another 2 hours on my 10 hour days. Read the post carefully, if you book in advance its just normal prices.
10. Wow! Petsmart is where I worked 12 years ago starting out and their grooms including all that was included in your groom, was 75, that is an insanely good price and maybe you shouldve went with them for a $22 full groom with nails trimmed and filed, paw pads and sanitary, full body haircut no matting fees, teeth brushed glands checked, a better christmas accessory, a groomer who isn't rushed and treating you animal with the best care, ears cleaned, and all that free brushing on the faces, an amazing deal! Wow!
11. Again, wasnt a coupon. You just won't read the post.
12. Whatever I wanted? You mean the cost of a full groom on a shih tzu plus photos? Yea I did...I'm so sorry we charge our worth? Shame on us. Its not a slick coated Chihuahua, it's simply not that coat type and I'm sorry you didn't realize you have a long coated straight coated breed.
13. I told her flat out on the phone this morning, looking at the ticket, nothing is wrong with price for services supplied. We waived matt fees, full groom was 75, plus 5 for photos.
14. Brush your dog. Your dog isn't shorthaired, it is now because you wont brush at home. Thats up to my magical wand to reverse the damage you let happen? Yea. Sorry not sorry. I didnt become a groomer to hear dogs scream in pain ripping that out. You knew what I was going to do at drop off. 3 people heard me repeat myself and have that matting talk. You just don't like the price because you looked at the wrong menu.
15. Closing note, this is MY shop and the dogs come first. Both your dogs got the service and photos you asked for. I did what we BOTH spoke about in the lobby. I will not be bullied by a backyard breeder. I sobbed over a bad review but I dusted myself off and I stand on business and the QUALITY I give each client to the best of my ability.
