STORM PREVENTION - USE CAUTION TODAY!

Have multiple pets? Go downstairs early. You don't want to find yourself in a panic moment trying to grab frightened pets.

Pause to check your fence and outdoors before letting your dog outside.

Keep an extra eye on pets today. And let's pray for safety for all the lost pets across our community. This will be a terrifying event for them :( .

Please include your pets in your evacuation plans today. If you are in the high risk areas, be sure to have water, water bowls and pet food on hand in the basement. I threw things into a recyclable shopping bag and brought them down to the basement.

One of my favorite moments from this past Sunday in New Town St. Charles came from a sweet little pup who I believe was named Lilly... or maybe Lilith. (Forgive me if I have that wrong!)

Her mom stopped by the Barkuterie Shop bus and treated her to one of our sundaes. A little while later, she came back with a smile and told me she had captured the most precious photos of her girl enjoying every bite.

And that's when it hit me again why I love doing this so much.

If you've met me, you know I'm completely dog crazy. Of course I love watching the pups enjoy their treats, their tails wagging and their eyes lighting up with excitement. But what I love just as much are the moments happening around them.

The laughter. The smiles. The way pet parents look at their furry best friends. The memories being made over something as simple as sharing a special treat together.

Those moments may seem small, but they're the ones that stay with us.

We're incredibly grateful for every family that stops by the bus, and it brings us so much joy knowing we get to play a tiny role in creating memories that will be treasured long after the last bite of sundae is gone. ❤️🐾

While I didn't get many pics at the Festus Farmers Market yesterday, the community braved the rain to come out and see so many of us. Thank you Bev Kreinbrook for spending the day with the babies and I in Festus.

And a very special thank you to Tricia Nelson's husband who taught me how to troubleshoot the generator. You are so truly appreciated. That was incredibly kind of you.

💔 Tomorrow, Barkuterie Shop will be at the New Town Market in St Charles, a community that has always welcomed us with open arms.

Like many of you, I woke up heartbroken by the news of the tragic loss of a young member of this community. While there are no words that can ease the pain a family is experiencing right now, I have spent much of today thinking about how I could help in some small way.

For those who know me, you know that community has always been at the center of everything I do. Whether through Missouri Lost & Found Paws or Barkuterie Shop, I believe we show up for one another during life's most difficult moments.

Tomorrow, I will be donating 30% of all Barkuterie Shop sales from the market directly to the family once official arrangements and donation information become available.

If you were already planning to stop by, thank you. If you weren't, I would be grateful if you would consider visiting us, sharing this post, or simply helping spread the word. My hope is to sell out tomorrow so that together we can make a meaningful contribution to a family facing an unimaginable loss.

Most importantly, please keep this family, their friends, and our entire community in your thoughts as they navigate the days ahead.

Sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is simply showing up for one another.
