Hello Monroe County!! Have Mercy Dog Training coming at ya with a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT …
**June will mark the final month for Sunday classes with us at the Shelter**
We cannot overstate how much serving your community has meant to us over the last FIVE YEARS! It’s hard to believe it’s been that long, but the relationships we’ve made, the bonds we’ve formed, and the memories we’ve created will last far into the future.
Shelter work has always been and always will be the heart of Have Mercy Dog Training. It’s where we cut our teeth, developed our skills, refined our techniques, and became fluent in “dog”. While we cherish every minute spent supporting our shelter partners, we believe that our role in a shelter should be a temporary one, and that an on-site, full-time behavior specialist is a best practice when an organization can support one. Helping Strays is fortunate enough to welcome Maddi to the staff to fill this role in a permanent capacity!
That is why this moment is bittersweet; we are sad to give up our weekly meetings with you, but so very excited to hand the reins over to Maddi so she can develop and share Helping Strays’ training protocols with Monroe County! We know the shelter is in very capable hands; we were just holding her place until she got here.
Thank you again for the opportunity to help you all with your pups, we appreciate every single one of you ♥️
Remember, we love continued updates so feel free to reach out, and in all things, Have Patience, Have Fun, and Have Mercy!!
