Shelter Friends, Inc. Shelter Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
animal welfare organization.

We are not a rescue group; we are an animal-welfare group whose purpose is to work directly with animals in MO, IL and AR and to help them find placement in safe, no-kill shelters or rescue groups. We do so by raising money to pay veterinary bills to help stray or injured animals get into no-kill rescues or shelters, by providing pledge money for the same, and by providing guidance and help to the public on how to find a safe, no-kill option for their pets.

🚨🚨PLEASE HELP US DEFRAY THE COST OF REMOVING BOTH OF INKY'S EYES AND ONE OF ONYX'S EYES!! 🚨🚨

Shelter Friends agreed to help out Caped Crusaders with these 2 girls who were both having serious eye infections. Unfortunately they could not be resolved. Poor INKY had to lose both of her eyes; ONYX only one.

The total for both surgeries was a tad over $844. As our funds are still desperately low, we would deeply appreciate any donation to help us offset these surgeries!
