🍞 Fresh Out of the Oven! 🍞
The Cranberry Orange Honey Sourdough loaves are cooling now, and the Jalapeño Cheddar loaves will be coming out of the oven in about 10 minutes and headed to the cooling rack.
I’ll be honest with you guys—nobody’s perfect, and being my own worst critic, I always try to get as close as I can. Since I broke my old phone, I lost all of my bread recipes, so I’m starting over from scratch and figuring them out again.
After taste testing this batch, I know next time these need a little more honey in the recipe. But they are still so delicious! Slice them up, toast them, drizzle a little honey on top, and they are so good. Michael and I may have already eaten half a loaf as quality control. 😂
There is a limited number available today, but I will be bringing more back in the near future and practicing my sourdough bread skills again. If I can get customers showing up for them, then I will keep making them!
Hope you all have a fantastic day. If you’d like a loaf, message me before they’re gone!

I feel a little rusty when it comes to making bread and working with larger batches again, but I'll get the hang of it. Just have to keep going and get back into the rhythm of it!
Bread will be baked off today, so if you're wanting a loaf, send me a message to claim one. 🥖
Today's flavors will be: 🌶️ Jalapeño Cheddar Sourdough (made with pickled jalapeños for a little extra flavor) 🍊 Cranberry Orange Honey Sourdough
Unfortunately, Messenger is not letting me send messages right now, so if I don't respond, please know I'm not ignoring you. Feel free to leave a comment on this post, and I'll do my best to keep track of everyone until Messenger decides to cooperate. 😂
Thank you all for your patience and support while I dust the cobwebs off my bread-making skills. Every loaf helps me get back into the groove, and I appreciate you all more than you know!

Hey guys! We close in 5 minutes, and I wanted to jump on here with a quick reminder. Our new hours started today, and we now close at 5 p.m. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to post a reminder earlier today.
I also spent some time working on sourdough breads today, but unfortunately they weren't quite ready to shape before I had to leave. Their bulk ferment wasn't finished, so I tucked them into the fridge and I'll pull them back out tomorrow to finish fermenting before shaping.
If you've ever worked with sourdough, then you know it doesn't always care about your schedule. Fermentation times can vary depending on dough temperature, room temperature, humidity, and a dozen other factors. My dough was running a little cooler than I'd like today, which slowed things down even more. To make matters worse, I accidentally broke my thermometers, so I'm flying a little blind right now!
This is definitely going to be a learning process as I adjust my baking schedule. Since I only bake at the shop and not at home, I have to make the dough work around my busy schedule. Between getting the kids ready and off to school in the mornings, running the shop, picking them up after school, making dinner, and keeping up with everything else, my baking window is limited to the hours I'm actually at the store. So there may be days where I have to get a little creative and adjust my process depending on what the dough is doing. Busy mama life!
I appreciate your patience while I figure out the best routine. Hope you all have a wonderful evening, and I'll see you tomorrow!

Happy Monday, everyone!
I've been busy working on bandanas, and we will have some brand-new designs hitting the floor at Tilted Heads this week and available at the Arnold Farmers Market this weekend. 🐾
I'm also hoping to get enough finished throughout the week to bring back our full bandana display so you can browse all of the different patterns and sizes in one place. There are so many cute fabrics waiting to be turned into bandanas, and I can't wait to share them with you!
I hope you all had a wonderful Monday and are having a great start to your week. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

This coming week, I’m going to push myself a little and see what I can accomplish. We’ve had so many requests for sourdough breads and focaccias, so I’m going to try my best to get some back into the shop and hopefully bring a few loaves to the Arnold Farmers Market as well.
I’ve been wanting to make Michael’s favorite again, the honey orange cranberry sourdough loaf. He swears it’s the best bread he’s ever had, and honestly, I have to agree. My personal favorite will always be the pickled jalapeño cheddar.
Truthfully, I'm my own worst critic. I tend to compare myself to other bakers, and sometimes that makes me doubt what I'm doing because it feels like they bake so much more than I do. But recently, I've bought a few loaves from other sourdough bakers that just weren't what I was expecting. And as strange as it sounds, I found myself liking my own bread better. That's weird to admit because I'm usually so hard on myself, but maybe it's a reminder that I need to have a little more confidence in what I create.
The biggest challenge is that I never want to spend hours making products that don’t sell, which is one of the reasons I slowed down on breads in the first place. But you all keep asking for them, so I’m going to give it another shot. Hold me accountable and cheer me on this week!
Thank you so much for all the support at the Arnold Farmers Market today. You guys showed up! I sold out of my brown butter sourdough Dubai brownies and sourdough cinnamon rolls, and almost completely sold out of my brown butter sourdough cookies. I only have about six chocolate chip cookies left! The toasted pecan and butterscotch cookies, however, will be my sweet treat tonight.
Thank you for supporting my family, my small business, and all the crazy ideas that come out of my kitchen. We appreciate you more than you know.
We’ll see you next week at the shop! Don't forget that starting Tuesday, our new hours will be 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
And let me know—should I bring back the Pickled Jalapeño Cheddar, Honey Orange Cranberry, or both? 🍞❤️

Good morning and happy Saturday, everyone!
I'm here at the Arnold Farmers Market this morning, and Michael is holding down the fort at the shop. Before the day gets going, I just wanted to share a quick reminder: please be kind, especially to the people working hard behind the scenes.
I had someone comment on my brown butter sourdough Dubai brownies and say, "You just keep raising prices." Honestly, I laughed it off, but I wanted to explain why they're $8 this weekend.
Last weekend, my brownies didn't rise quite the way I wanted them to, so the containers were only about half to three-quarters full. This weekend, they're packed all the way to the top. In fact, the exact same batch size that I made last week only produced about half as many brownie cups this week because they're filled so much more. That alone should tell you just how much extra product is going into every single one.
If you've ever purchased pistachios, pistachio cream, katifi, Belgian chocolate, or made brown butter from scratch, you know none of those ingredients are cheap. Brown butter alone takes extra time and labor to prepare, and when I increase the amount of product, my cost goes up too.
The reality is that we haven't been raising prices every time costs increase. In fact, some of our products have actually gone down in price over the years. Our chicken feet are a great example. We've absorbed a lot of rising costs because we genuinely want to keep our products affordable for our customers.
Small businesses are constantly balancing ingredient costs, labor, utilities, rent, and everything else that goes into keeping the doors open. Sometimes when more product goes into an item, the price has to reflect that.
So please remember that there are real people behind every product, every recipe, and every price tag. If you don't have anything nice to say, sometimes it's best not to say anything at all.
I hope you all have a beautiful Saturday, and I hope you take a moment today to show kindness to someone. You never know what they're carrying behind the scenes. ❤️

So excited for the Arnold Farmers Market tomorrow! 🎉
I'll be bringing a delicious lineup of sourdough goodies, including the return of my Brown Butter Sourdough Dubai Brownies. These are absolutely stuffed to the brim (more than last week) and loaded with flavor! Each brownie is made with our brown butter sourdough brownie base, featuring our in-house Black Dog Espresso from Goshen Coffee, filled with rich Dubai filling, and topped with Belgian chocolate, pistachios, and a pistachio cream drizzle. These beauties will be $8 each.
I'll also have two flavors of my Brown Butter Sourdough Cookies: 🍪 OG Chocolate Chip — the cookie that sells out every single weekend, so I made a double batch! 🍪 Toasted Pecan & Butterscotch
I'll also have: 🥐 Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls — $6 each
🥐 Four-packs of Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls — $23
🥐 One uniced four-pack — $18
Michael will also have the storefront stocked with sourdough cinnamon rolls, brown butter sourdough cookies, and the same goodies I'm bringing to the market.

Totally off the subject of what I usually post, but does anyone have any good binge-worthy show recommendations?
I just finished The Burrows and absolutely loved it. I'm also about to finish Season 5 of Sweet Magnolias, and with a long bake day ahead of me, I'm going to need something new to keep me company in the kitchen. I have watched ALOT of shows with seasons and I'm running out of ones to watch 😅
I love having a good show playing while I'm baking and working. It helps keep me focused, makes the time fly by, and honestly makes those extra-long prep days a little more fun.
So tell me—what's a show you couldn't stop watching? Bonus points if it's one of those "just one more episode" kind of shows because I've got a full weekend of work/house chores ahead of me. 🍪☕🍞
Drop your recommendations below! 👇📺🍿

Edut- Thank you all for all the recommendations! There are so much good suggestions that I have never heard of or have forgotten about. Let the show binge begin! ❤️ 🐾
