Hey everyone! 🐾💙 First, we want to take a moment and send love to everyone struggling through tough times anywhere in the world right now. For our Texan family in particular, one thing we’re getting asked about on a daily basis is a new mystery skin issue that seems to be emerging in dogs all over the state. This most likely results from all the moisture, humidity, and the resulting yeast, fungus and bacteria going around that dogs haven’t had time to build immunity to. We’re getting lots of question about which products will soothe their itchy and distressed skin, and wanted to put a little spotlight on Barn Dog Skin Lotion.

We wanted to share a morning update, and introduce the Mission Mules deployed to the Central Texas Flash Floods. Please keep them, and all those responding and affected, in your prayers.

Death Toll Hits 82, from 7 Texas Hill Country counties, including 40 adults and 28 children in Kerr County alone. Camp Mystic Still Searching 💔

Over 400+ responders from 20+ agencies, supported by helicopters, boats, K9 teams, and federal assets, have rescued over 800 people so far and are racing to locate missing persons. At least 41 people remain unaccounted for statewide.

Additional rainfall forecast threatens flash floods and complicates rescue efforts.

This morning our prayers continue to go up for every family and community still hoping for answers about missing loved ones, as well as those that have been hit so hard by this unimaginable disaster.

The swift response of first responders, volunteers, and neighboring communities offer hope amid this tragedy. The mules will be arriving today to offer another asset towards these efforts. We appreciate the supporters that make our efforts possible.

I’m Bethany Padgett, founder and CEO of Equiderma and Barn Dog products. I’ve been an avid horse woman and devoted lover of animals all of my life. I owned and operated a respected equestrian center for dressage and hunter/jumper in central Florida. During that time, I founded a 501c3 rescue for all animals in need. That was twenty years ago and is where this amazing journey began.

Every day, I devoted myself to healing the animals in my care. Over time I became more and more frustrated with the grooming and skin care products available to me. Like many of you can most likely relate, I had a medicine cabinet filled with products that failed to deliver on their claims. Meanwhile, there was an animal that continued to suffer from the lack of effective products.

With so many animals relying on me I finally had enough. Necessity truly was the mother of invention and I decided to make it my life’s mission to create products that performed quickly, effectively, predictably and most of all painlessly. Equiderma Skin Lotion was my first product, born for my own personal use in my barns. As fate would have it, there was a business there that would enable me to help people find real solutions to their grooming challenges.

In those early days, Equiderma quickly became the "go to" solution at our rescue and equestrian center. I would often hear voices ringing out, "Hey Bethany, where's your blue stuff?".

Since that time Equiderma has grown in product line and ethos and I’ve found my life’s purpose and passion along the way. I am now able to help animals on a much broader scale. Words cannot fully express how rewarding this is. The onus for each product was a particular animal in my care. I will always remember them and am grateful for this beautiful business they helped me create.

Each and every one of our products has been carefully and intelligently formulated to deliver superior performance for a specific purpose.
