Sometimes the biggest changes happen in the quietest moments. 💜🐴

A horse doesn’t need you to have the perfect words. They respond to presence, body language, movement, consistency, and trust.

For many of our participants, time with horses can become a place to slow down, practice focus, build confidence, and feel more connected to the moment they’re in.

It’s one of the reasons we say the therapeutic riding/adaptive horsemanship program at Canoe Creek Stables is about so much more than riding.

Every lesson, every interaction, and every relationship with a horse can become an opportunity for growth.

If this mission speaks to you, please consider sharing our work or supporting the horses and participants who make these moments possible.

📚🐴 Biscuit has a BIG fan… and she came bearing gifts! 💜

Biscuit’s biggest fan stopped by Canoe Creek Stables for a visit and surprised us with some of the adorable children’s books she’s written! 🥰📖

We are SO excited to be partnering with local author Tara N Seahorn soon for a special "Once Upon a Pony" barn book reading! Imagine storytime surrounded by ponies! 🐴📚✨

Stay tuned for details! I'll also drop information in the comments on how you can get your hands on some of her super cute books!

💬 Now let's take a little trip down memory lane! What's your ALL-TIME favorite children's book? One you loved as a child or one you never got tired of reading to your own kids!

We can't wait to read your answers! 💜

💜🐴 HARPER'S BARN MAKE-A-WISH HAS BEEN GRANTED! 🌟

A HUGE thank you to Shalita Clark and 5678 Dance & More for sponsoring an entire term of therapeutic riding for Harper! 🩰

That's THREE MONTHS of building strength, confidence, independence, and making memories in the saddle! 🦄

When a local small business chooses to invest in someone's future, the impact goes far beyond the barn. This is what community is all about!

We hope Shalita's generosity inspires others to see just how much of a difference one person or business can make. 💜

✨ Sponsorships through Light of the World Adaptive Horsemanship are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

👇 Can we fill the comments with THANK-YOUS for Shalita and 5678 Dance & More? Let's show this wonderful local business some love! 💜🐴

💜 Sometimes I wonder who needs these moments more... me or the horses.

This is me and Pegasus, sharing one of those quiet moments that mean more than words can explain. 🐴

I spend so much of my time watching our horses make a difference in the lives of others. But sometimes, in the middle of all the work, I'm reminded that they have a way of filling my cup, too.

There's something special about standing next to a horse, feeling the world slow down for just a moment, and remembering why God led me down this path.

I may be the one caring for them, but they take care of me in ways they'll never understand. ✨️

Tell me, do you have an animal that's your happy place? I'd love to hear about them! 💜

💜 DID YOU MISS US ON TV LAST NIGHT? 💜

If you missed our episode of Buzz4good on Alabama Public Television, we have a little homework for you this weekend! 📺🐴

Take a few minutes to watch, and you'll get a glimpse into the hearts behind Light of the World Adaptive Horsemanship and the incredible work being done by Iron City Trykes!

Two organizations with different missions, but one thing in common: We're working to change lives, one person at a time. ❤️

Here's where YOU come in! 👇

We're asking you to WATCH, SHARE, and help us get our stories in front of people who may have never heard of us!

You never know whose life might be changed because YOU took a moment to share.

💜 A special thank you to our participants, their families, and our incredible volunteers who took part in filming this feature last year! Thank you for sharing your time, your stories, and your hearts. YOU are the reason we do what we do, and we couldn't be more grateful to have you helping us show the world what makes this program so special!
