Flushing a septic calf’s joint and crossing our fingers.
What’s the most common cause of a septic joint in a young calf or horse?

Failure of Passive transfer! Thus occurs when the baby doesn’t get enough colostrum from their mother.

We anesthetized this little calf, flushed its joint and started her on antibiotics. Remember, DILUTION IS THE SOLUTION FOR POLLUTION! We flushed almost a Liter of fluids thru this joint.
