One of my great clients, sent me this podcast. Sometimes it is so difficult to get any of my sessions on video, because things always end up going so deep and getting so personal.

Once I "open a horse up" it tattles and tells all!😁😊
Horses carry so much of our emotional baggage! To fix the horse, this has to be fixed first.

Emotional baggage causes great confusion and anxiety for the horse. This mixed with communication barriers makes the horse crazy, overwhelmed and over reactive.

I think we can all understand. All I have to think about is trying to communicate with customer service from Malaysia....dealing with a government agency or insurance...and I totally get it!

Horses don't know anything about marriage, finances, jobs and raising kids...but they do know that your stressed frequency matches the frequency, which their nervous system picks up and instinctively reads as threatening.

Just because they don't buck, bite, bolt or strike, doesn't mean that they aren't continually coping and bracing somewhere.

Without this emotional/communication piece out of the way and off the table, it becomes very difficult to know if the horse is reactive and insecure because of physical pain or mental pain...it works exactly the same for people.

It's not being all touchy and sappy, laying on a sofa whining and wallowing. It's taking responsibility for your crap, taking it off your horse and dealing it.

There's a dominance in body systems that can't be avoided. It's called psycho (mental/emotional) - visceral (organs) - somatic (muscle/bone/soft tissue).

No matter how much we want to avoid following the process of how our bodies and the bodies of our horses work, we can't!

Starting at the bottom with band-aids, surgeries, injections, x-rays, medications, bone cracking, supplements, steroids and etc, might allow us to avoid longer, but avoiding doesn't change the way things operate.

Everything operates on and within a system. Avoiding the system and stabbing in the dark, doesn't make the system go away. It also doesn't make us a less responsible player within that system.

Enjoy and Have Yourself A Knotty Day!

This is an interesting post, with interesting comments.

Bean removal is absolutely necessary, not only for comfort but also for the entire urinary system. Many geldings that come to Knotty Equine, presenting with hind end lameness, hock and stifle issues, have beans and are retaining urine. This creates immense restriction and discomfort, therefore holding the entire pelvic girdle and hind end hostage.

Bean removal rarely requires sedation and done correctly, does not cause tissue damage.

It should be assumed, that in the case of this person's post, tissue damage occurred, as this is a cadaver and not a live horse.

This is a very good visual of the size of your horse's lungs and air capacity. Lung spasms are the number 1 cause of bleeders.

Do you really understand how big your horse's lungs are? This picture is a horse's lungs fully inflated...amazing when you think they are enclosed in a horse's body! Did you know a horse takes in 2x 5-Gallon buckets of air ever second? Think of how much that really is. So, do the best you can to help your horse breathe!

Here is a 100% raw video of what an initial Equinitryology session is. This video is very long, but shows very well what Equinitryology is all about, especially the root foundation, which is "energetic listening". How listening to the horse shows the patterns of dysfunction, letting the horse lead the session and have a free choice of what is done, makes all the difference and produces results.
This mare's primary concern relates to pelvic girdle and kidney lockdown, which has trapped massive amounts of fluid retention in her bladder and uterus, plus massive amounts of compensation patterns. Hopefully you can see how this, along with other energetic patterns of dysfunction are connected, yet individualize into different symptoms of behavioral reactions. Our camera died, mid-session. Following this, I used microcurrent to relieve soft tissue restrictions. I also taught the owner exercises and techniques to continue rehabilitation.
My hope is that this video will answer some of the questions as to what Equinitryology is, and that you can appreciate the energetic conversation as much as I do.
I'm so grateful to finally have a rough visual to answer everyone's questions, as to what we do at Knotty Equine.

Today I want to talk about something very dear to my heart, the core of my passion and daily life. I’ve coined it as ā€œEnergetic Listeningā€. Everyone wants to be heard. Without being heard, we become swept under the rug. Not being heard makes us feel alone, vulnerable, unimportant and scared. T...
