Having skills and knowledge to help our dogs in an emergency can save their lives. Often there isn’t help readily available when something happens and owners don’t know what to do to assist their dogs before they get to a veterinarian. Knowing how to access, support and react to emergency & minor situations that can happen with your dog can literally save a life. Participants will learn assessment

and first aid skills as well as life saving Pet CPR for dogs using a canine manikin.
2 ½ Hour Workshop – $50.00 includes 2 year certification card. A great resource for pet owners, rescue organizations & boarding or dog daycare staff. You will learn:
• What to do if your dog is choking, bleeding or in shock
• How to assess your dog’s vital signs so you can get a better idea of what is going on
• How to put together a first aid kit for your dog and what contents should be included
• What to do if your dog is bitten by an insect or a snake or stung by a bee
• What to do if your dog is suffering from hypothermia, heatstroke or if your dog is having a seizure
Pet CPR – Mouth to snout CPR can save a dogs life. Participants will learn this valuable skill and be able to try it on a canine manikin.

• The course taught by Registered Nurse using Oregon Health Authority education program.
This class covers certification requirements for the Oregon Health Authority. We’ll cover:
• Recognition of the symptoms of systemic allergic response (anaphylactic reaction) to insect stings and other allergens.
• Familiarity with factors likely to cause systemic allergic response.
• Proper administration of an injection of epinephrine; and,
• Necessary follow-up treatment.
• Written OHA Exam
• Approximate Course Length: 1.5-2 hours (depending on class size and time required for written test).

The Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with a business, to working with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, the CABS vlogger-style video makes learning fun. This is a certified course offered through the Health & Safety Institute (HSI).
Babysitting is usually a teenager’s first attempt at building and running a small business. Our new Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) class comes in a magazine-format guide designed to engage and inform the aspiring babysitter. CPR/AED + First Aid classes:
These classes are for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire or are required to be certified in basic emergency medical care, including certification in CPR and the use of an AED with an option for First aid.
This class covers certification requirements for the American Heart Association (AHA) and American Red Cross (ARC). If you require certification through a specific entity, please register accordingly. We’ll cover:

CPR/AED for adults, children and infants
Choking for adults, children and infants
Our skills tests require the use of a feedback device. All of our adult and child manikins are equipped with the latest feedback device technology.

Additionally, if your registration includes First Aid training, you’ll learn first aid basics, preparing you for:

Medical emergencies
Injury emergencies
Environmental emergencies
Preventing illness and injury
Opioid–associated life-threatening emergencies
