Today’s lesson on Lynx was one of those lessons that gives you a lot to think about. 🤍 I really appreciate a trainer who doesn’t just tell you what to do, but explains the why behind it. I left feeling like I didn’t just have a better ride, but a better understanding of what I’m asking for and how I can help my horse get there.

Definitely the kind of education I’m always looking for. 🐴

Sometimes the best thing you can do is stop looking sideways. Quit worrying about who’s watching, what they think, or whether you’re doing it the “right” way. Trust yourself, trust your horse, and keep moving forward. Your journey doesn’t have to make sense to everyone else. It just has to be yours. 🤠💗

A little rest set last night, a good schooling ride (thank you Heather and Haley for the advice!!). Lynx got her acupuncture and chiropractics last night. Feeling ready for Fulton County tomorrow night!

I think it’s important to share more than just the wins.

Lynx and I have been in a bit of a slump the last few weeks. It happens to every team, and growth isn’t always a straight line. Instead of pushing harder, we decided to dial things back so we could get dialed in.

We’ve traded a few arena rides for exploring the trails, focused on strengthening her body, and gone back to the basics. Sometimes the best way forward is to slow down, listen to your horse, and put in the work behind the scenes.

The comeback is built long before anyone sees it in the arena. 💙
