We started our café not just to help cats find homes, but to give our community a relaxing place to unwind.

For over two years, it has been our honor to serve this community alongside the Animal Protective League. In the wake of the recent tornado, we’ve stepped up by taking in more cats than our normal capacity and serving as a busy hub for donations.

While we pour our hearts into this work, we’ve unfortunately received some recent reviews that don't tell this story. We have seen an outpouring of kind words and posts about our efforts, but social media posts come and go. Reviews on Google, Facebook, and even Yelp paint the long-term picture that the world will always see. We know that we aren't always perfect, but we are always trying to do better. We genuinely want to take constructive feedback and use it to improve our space for guests and cats.

We are also operating on overdrive, which means we are using far more resources than usual. Our lounge admissions have not been enough lately to offset the costs of this extra relief work.

🌩️ Storms can be stressful for our pets🌩️

In light of today's storms across Illinois and Indiana, please take extra caution to ensure the safety of your pets.

🐾 Close, lock, and reinforce gate latches and doors!

🐾 Identify a safe haven

🐾 Block triggers by closing windows and curtains

🐾 Noise masking as much of the outside noise as you can, if possible

🐾 Ensure your pet has a current pet ID and microchip

🐾 Try comfort wear during storms

🐾 Provide distractions during storms

🐾 Let them know it's ok by staying calm.

KEEN on Pet Care is proud to host it's 3rd - raiser in less than a year. Thanks to the generosity of our clients and community, we have been able to provide hundreds of food for local shelters which help hungry pets in our community. We will collect food all summer long.
