Is everything in your house a toy? It can be, if you adopt Sora! She'll run around the house, chirping and chasing bits of stolen packing paper, then try to bite the buttons off your shirt before flopping into your lap to sleep and purr like all is right with the world. She'll do best in a home that can give her lots of enrichment and lots of cuddles. She's very sweet and likes both people and other animals.

Mama Tella is officially done having babies! Her spay went well and now she's convinced her legs don't work while she's wearing the recover suit.
Interested in giving this retired mama her furever home? She's a sweet, snuggly girl who does well with other cats and with dogs and kids. Let me know if you're interested in adopting her! She'll be ready to go home in about 2 weeks once she's fully recovered.

Alfredo has chosen drama today. I'm so glad he's coming out of his shell ❤️ He'll do best in a more low-key home. He loves to play, but does not love to share his toys. He's perfectly happy to play by himself, then pass out for a nap. And he LOVES a good belly rub, starts his motor right up!

This video does an amazing job showing how a service dog works. Someone who wasn't familiar with what's going on would likely think the dog is misbehaving pulling stuff off the counter then jumping up on the counter. This is why it is so essential to not interfere with working dogs.
This handler also gives an excellent demonstration of why it is so important to TRUST YOUR DOG. It sounds like getting the blanket may not be a trained task, but that dog knows his handler and has likely recognized the pattern of handler cold = need blanket. These dogs are SMART, and it's not uncommon for a service dog to pick up a "new" but related task on their own. Pepper taught herself to alert to Midas's seizures. Zelda taught herself to alert her handler to sleep apnea episodes and seizures in the ONE MONTH of being with her handler.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

When Mama finally gets a break. 😮💨 Opened the kitty condo for the fosters to play in my office, kittens all came out and mama promptly went to the highest level in the condo for a bath and some time to herself. She gets spayed next week and will be ready to go to her furever home once she's recovered. Contact me if you're interested in a sweet, chill cat who's ready to be a spoiled housecat instead of a mama.

Tella says "yay I'm not pregnant!" Ultrasound today confirmed she's not pregnant, so she also got her pre-surgery blood work to make sure she's healthy enough for her spay next week. She deserves to be done having kittens and be a spoiled housecat for the rest of her life. Contact me if you're interested in giving that to her.

3 days of barn hunt, and I'm so proud of these two, as usual 💚💙
Ganon💚 has been stuck on senior for years, and something finally clicked today. He nailed both runs with a first place in both and a high in class in one. He also Q'd in all 4 crazy 8s runs he did, and is only 30 points away from his bronze medal!
Mishka💙 ran with me for the first time this weekend. I definitely have some work to recognize her indicator, but we had a great weekend. She got her first open Q with a second place, and Q'd on 3 of her 4 crazy 8s runs.
Time for celebratory ice cream 🍦 for the dogs and popcorn 🍿 for me.

Meet the kitten nuggets: Alfredo
I'm so proud of the progress this little man is making! I may have to stop saying that Alfredo is afraid-o 💙 When they first came to me, Alfredo would back away whenever I tried to pick him up and would SCREAM when I held him. Today when I reached for him he came TOWARDS me, and he didn't hiss when Mishka stuck her nose up to his! He's also been intently exploring his work with his teeth, especially my fingers 😅
Alfredo would do best in a laid-back home with his own toys and plenty of places to curl up and snooze.

SuperDogs has kittens for adoption! This beautiful mama and 3 kittens are looking for their forever home. The kittens will be ready to go home the weekend after Thanksgiving. Mama is up for adoption too, but not sure when. She might be pregnant again already, if so, she'll be spayed after that litter is old enough, if she's not, she'll be spayed the first week of Dec and be ready to go home once she's recovered.
All 4 have been socialized with dogs, other cats, and children. They have been dewormed, and will be microchipped and have their 8- & 12-week vaccines before they go to their new homes. Only asking a small adoption fee to help cover costs.
If you're interested in adopting, contact me here or at [email protected]

I have PTSD from a series of armed robberies at a store I used to work at. I also have severe anxiety that I’ve carried with me all my life, and the PTSD compounds that. In 2013, my PTSD got to the point where it was no longer manageable. I was no longer able to leave the house without my husband, except to go to work. Even at work, I was barely functional some days. Always on high alert, in fight-or-flight mode, terrified of every loud noise, it was exhausting. When I fled a gas station because of somebody yelling “hey, how ya doin?” across the store, I knew I needed help.
I went to a therapist who helped me learn coping mechanisms and a psychiatrist who prescribed me medications to help control the anxiety symptoms. While both helped, my medication dosages were going up and up and up without ever getting me to the point where I could live normally.
And then someone suggested I get a service dog. Hey, I love dogs, I already have one (although he turned out to not have the right personality for service work and not be healthy enough for it) and I’ve recently discovered a love of dog training! So I did what I always do, and threw myself into research. What tasks are common for PTSD dogs? How do you teach these tasks? What breeds are best? What personality traits does the dog need?
After several discussions with our trainer and vet, I decided to give it a go. So I did more research - this time to find just the right breeder. I interviewed breeders like you’d interview an employee. I was going to make sure I did this right. I ended up meeting Kristi at VonBussler Labrador Retrievers, and she happily answered all my questions and helped me choose a dog with just the right personality. After playing the waiting game for a litter of puppies with a silver lab with the right personality, I came home with Pepper.
From day one, we trained. Every single day, no matter what. Pouring rain? Train the dog. Sinus infection? Train the dog. Sprain your ankle? Train the dog. The only time we took a break was when she was recovering from spay surgery. After 4 months of working with her, she was regularly going out in public with me. And something amazing had happened - I could leave the house alone again! Well, “alone” in the sense that I didn’t have to have another human with me.
It wasn’t always easy. The first time we went to the grocery store, she grabbed a toy off the shelf walking by the pet section and I didn’t even notice until I bent down to get something off a bottom shelf later. (Yes, we bought the toy, I wouldn’t put it back covered in puppy slobber.) Another memorable trip to the grocery store had her licking the floor in produce, then puking all over in the checkout line later. We still had a lot of training to do. And we kept at it.
She went to orchestra practice, to the doctor, to the gym - everywhere I went. Working with my psychiatrist, we started to cut back my anxiety medicine. It ended up at half the dosage I was at before Pepper and I was finally stable again. She gave me my life back. I am living like a normal person again. She’s my superhero.
