Congratulations to Doug Shiflet on his retirement from the Midwest Charity Horse Show.

After 25 years as the Official Photographer of the Midwest Charity Horse Show, Doug Shiflet is leaving behind an incredible legacy of memories captured through his lens.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Doug, Debbie Shiflet, and their entire team for their professionalism, exceptional photography, enthusiasm, and unwavering support of the Midwest Charity Horse Show throughout the years. Your work has preserved countless special moments for exhibitors, trainers, owners, and families, and your contributions have meant so much to our show.

A special thank you to Golden Creek Farm and Abel Vega for giving Doug a memorable sendoff with the outstanding Hackney Pony Champion, Oklahoma Smoke Show. It was the perfect way to celebrate someone who has been such an important part of the Midwest Charity Horse Show family.

Congratulations, Doug, and thank you for 25 wonderful years. We wish you all the best in your photography endeavors.

THANK YOU to the Officials of the 85th Midwest Charity Horse Show!

A successful horse show is made possible by an incredible team, and we are so grateful to the outstanding officials who worked tirelessly to support our exhibitors and help make this year's competition a success.

There are also countless individuals working behind the scenes—often without recognition—who stepped up in both big and small ways to support one another and ensure everything ran smoothly. Your dedication, teamwork, and commitment did not go unnoticed.

To our officials and everyone who played a part in the 85th Midwest Charity Horse Show, thank you for your hard work, professionalism, and passion. We couldn't have done it without you!

Midwest Charity loves seeing all of the enthusiasm and fun the group of junior judging participants brought to our show this year! The Junior Judging Presentation was made by Samantha Robinson Mitchell from the American Saddlebred Horse Breeders Association and Elvis Himselvis.

"The Midwest Charity Junior Judging Contest also returned for another successful year! Participants sharpened their judging skills while learning from guest judges Donna Pettry-Smith and Karen Homer-Brown. Despite the weather, we had a great turnout and were thrilled to recognize our participants in center ring on Friday evening. Congratulations to all of our participants! Winners Ryals Totterdale and Maddie Rowe also earned the opportunity to judge a class from center ring during Friday night's performance as part of their winning prize. A special thank you goes to ASHBA Youth Council member, Emma Wycoff, whose enthusiasm and dedication helped make the week's youth activities a great success.
We are also incredibly grateful to Sally Jackson, whose generous sponsorship of Junior Judging and Youth Activities helps make these educational and engaging opportunities possible." -ASHBA

I got to step inside center ring at Midwest on Saturday night to shoot a very special round of honor as the Midwest Charity Horse Show honored Doug Shiflet's 25th and final year as the official photographer of the show. Doug got to take Oklahoma Smoke Show for a spin around the ring to celebrate. Thank you, Doug, for all the years you have dedicated to capturing special memories. Some of my favorite horse show photos were taken by Doug at Midwest years and years ago!
