Once again, Brandeberry Winery has done it again. Thank you so much to the amazing people at the w**ery and for all the wonderful volunteers that made this day such a success! We love you guys.
The numbers are in and we have raised $13,000 for the Clark County SPCA at Dogtoberfest this year. We would like to thank the community so much for all the baskets you donated. We ended up with around 150 which raised $5031 of that $13,000. That’s how important your donated baskets are and we can’t thank you all enough. We had 650 people attend this year. We know attendance was down a bit probably due to the gloomy weather but we want to thank each one of you for showing up and donating to the cause. It really was an amazing day! The bake sale raising $2767, the vendors fees, the parking donation, w**e and t-shirt sales all add up and we are honored to help raise this money to give to the SPCA. Other great news is 4 pups found their forever homes instead of growing up in a shelter. But they still have many more that are looking for their homes if you are looking for your new best friend. Thank you so much to all our volunteers that come each year to help at Dogtoberfest. Many have been helping us for years and we so appreciate it. Thank you Christine and Tami for pouring dry w**e for years at the event. Thank you Michele, Stacey, Jerod, Matt, and Michelle for pouring sweet w**e for many years. Thank you Lisa, Jennifer, Jon, and Mary for baking and manning the bake sale table for years for us. Thank you Barb for selling tasting tickets and t-shirts for many many years. Thank you Justin, Jackie, and Matt for parking cars for years. And I have to say Jackie and Matt come for days before the event to mark, setup cones, and rope off the entire field before the event. I often say it’s the only day of the year people park well in that field as they have it so organized. Thank you to Chrissy and Jenna for selling the raffle tickets. I know it’s a lot. Thank you Ginny and Michelle for going from booth to booth to help relieve volunteers so they could all have a break. Thank you Cheryl and Ashley for helping us call all those people who won baskets. It’s a taxing job to draw and contact all those winners. As I’ve always said a festival like this isn’t put on by one person. It takes a village and we are lucky to have one of the best there is. Thank you to everyone.
