Our Pet in the Spotlight for the month of October is Olive! Or as her mom calls her - Olive Marie!

Olive is a 17 week old Cavapoo. She loves to sneak in rocks to chew on and barking at her reflection in the mirror/shower doors. 😆

She enjoys going to soccer ⚽️ practice with her human siblings or just hanging out in the shower by herself.

Her mom calls her CEO of their “Demolish New Landscaping” company!

However mischievous, we love her dearly and she is a doll when she comes to see us!

It’s almost Halloween!! 👻

While it is easy to get caught up in the festivities, keep in mind that there are a lot of pet dangers to be aware of. Some are more evident than others.

Here are some things to be mindful of this week!🎃

Pepper and Ollie were stars ⭐️ at their visit on Tuesday!! Just look at their precious faces!!

We will be closed from 12:00pm-2:00pm today, Tuesday, October 20th for our continuing education team meeting!

This week is Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week!! However, we group all of our support staff in and celebrate them all this week.

We kick off this week by welcoming you to meet our wonderful staff here at Deerfield Veterinary Hospital!

Today we are celebrating two of our leaders of the practice. The ways they aid in the practice’s flow whether it be guiding team members to resolutions, helping clients make educated decisions, or providing love and support to a pet while they are here, they are a major part of what makes our clinic what it is.

Shelbi, our practice manager, can be seen all around the clinic. She works behind the scenes making sure the clinic and its staff have everything they need to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. She jumps in to provide technical duties when needed, or recovers a pet from a surgical procedure by cuddling them in her office. Her passion to provide excellent customer service is always at play daily and you will frequently see her up front catching up with a client.

Dr. Meagan, our medical director, is most often seen caring directly for your pets or providing their owners with vital information about their pet during their visit. However, the behind the scenes work she does to help our clinic continue advancing in how medical procedures are done, or improving protocols what we currently have in place help our clinic grow with the times. She educates team members and encourages them to add new tools to their belt when it comes to patient care.

We are so grateful to have them here to support us daily.

Happy Boss’s day!

It’s beginning to look and feel like fall out there 🍂🍁

JJ’s favorite thing about this time of year is finding the best spots to snuggle. Today’s spot- the fall blanket perched on the back of the couch overlooking the yard (keeping one eye on the squirrels of course!)

What’s your pets favorite thing about the fall season? 🏈🎃🥧
