It's Wednesday which means it's time to highlight another long term resident who needs their "Welcome Home" ❤️

Today we would like to feature Twizzler/Twizzy! This baby was dumped at PAWS in the middle of the night in Oct. 2024. He us around 3-4 years old although he is not good with kids or other animals paws says that he is an affectionate boy.

Meet Rerun, a gentle and loyal 10-month-old Boxer mix from our friends at Adoptable Friends NFP. After waiting over 200 days for a fresh start, this smart, goofy boy is ready for a family to shower him with belly rubs and love. We would like to feature Adele from Lucky Tales Rescue!

"I am a female tuxedo cat that’s estimated to be around 1.5-2years old! Unfortunately my story is one that’s all too familiar with rescue… I was adopted out as a young kitten from LTR to a lovely lady who adored me! I was so spoiled and loved till unfortunately my owner had passed away and I was left all alone. I went from being with my person 24/7 to having a quick check in once a week from strangers for months. I was so alone and scared! I had no idea what was going on, where my owner had went and why I was alone all the time. Finally, after months my previous owners extended family decided no one wanted to take me in so I was returned to LTR and entered my foster home. When I first arrived to my foster mom’s home I was soooo scared! I didn’t know why I was being moved into a strange home with a strange person and other foster cats. For weeks I hid at the top of the cat tree. I barely wanted to eat or come down. It took a lot of time and patience from my foster mama but I am so grateful she stuck it out with me because now I freely roam the house. I go where I want and I am no longer hiding! My foster mom says I am a sweet girl but can be sassy at times! I’ve been known to have some attitude mainly because I’ve gone from being the only cat to having to share my person with others! If it were my way, I’d like to not have competition! That doesn’t mean a home with another cat wouldn’t work because I do get along great with other cats as long as we respect each other’s space. I’d just prefer a home with either one other cat or none at all. As for noises, I do prefer a home that’s more quieter than not and would probably do best in one without young kids. My foster mom was told I don’t do well with dogs and that they scare me but I also haven’t been tested with them to know for certain!

My favorite things are being petted especially lower back rubs! My foster mom says I’m more of a talker than not and that I respond to my name especially when my foster mom says it out loud in a high pitch voice! Im the type of cat that will come seek you out for loving and when I’ve had enough I go back to sleeping or doing whatever I please. I like to spend quality time alone when I am not out in the family room mingling. My foster mom says I’m pretty independent! My favorite things to do are look outside the windows, sleeping at the top of the cat tree or under the bed (I have a really cozy spot under there), playing in cardboard boxes or with toys. My main goal is to be adopted and not have to ever worry about being returned again. I really don’t want to have to go through that again… it was really scary so with that being said I just want to be honest with my future adopter… It’s going to take me some time to come around and learn to trust you. After all I’ve been through, my foster mom says I have so much promise! I really am a sweet girl just scared and don’t know who to trust at first. So please have patience with me and I promise you, you won’t regret it!"
