🌍 October 4 is World Animal Day & World Pet Day! 🌍

Today, we celebrate the incredible creatures who share our planet and the beloved pets who share our homes.

Animals bring immeasurable joy, lessons in resilience, and unconditional love into our lives.

From the wild species thriving in nature to the companion animals curled up at our feet, every single one deserves a voice, safety, and respect.

For those of us who dedicate our hearts to their care, protection, and rescue, today is a powerful reminder of our shared mission. Let’s keep working toward a world where every animal is treated with the compassion and kindness they truly deserve.

🐾✨Let's honor them today:💬 Drop a photo of the animals or pets that inspire you every day!

Thank a rescue worker, volunteer, or advocate who makes a difference.

October is National Pit Bull Awareness month. Let's shatter the stereotypes and help educate the negative perceptions and reduce stigma regarding pit bull and bully breeds!

Please help promote adoption for pit bull type dogs in animal shelters and encourage rescue and adoption!

Advocate for proper training, care and community unification.

There is no such thing as a bad breed, just bad owners.

To honor this breed, we are offering a bath special for the entire month of October.

"Be the change you want to see in the world."

Cypress Lucky Mutt Rescue

Meet Humphrey! 🐾

Miniature Poodle Mix available for adoption!

Humphrey is a handsome 6-month-old miniature poodle mix weighing about 13 pounds, with a whole lot of personality packed into that little body! He’s got the cutest combination of strut, prance, curiosity, and smarts—and he’s always on a mission to see what everyone else is up to!

Humphrey can be a little shy with people at first, but he’s making wonderful progress and becoming more trusting with his foster mom every day. Once he feels comfortable, his curious and playful personality really starts to shine. He simply must know what everyone is doing because he doesn’t want to miss out!

He absolutely loves playing with toys and has a blast with his 68-pound standard poodle foster brother. Because he enjoys canine companionship so much, Humphrey would love a confident, playful doggy friend in his forever home—someone he can play with, learn from, and gain confidence alongside!

Humphrey would do best in a calm, patient home where he can continue building his confidence at his own pace. He hasn’t had much known exposure to cats, but he recently visited a veterinary office with several resident cats and showed very little interest in them.

He’s also making great progress with his potty routine! He’s still working on mastering it completely and has an occasional accident, but he knows how to use a doggie door and is learning more every day. He does wonderfully in his crate overnight and will even let you know - loudly! - when he needs to go outside.

Humphrey is looking for a family who will give him the patience, encouragement, and companionship he needs to blossom into the amazing little dog we know he can be. Could Humphrey be yours?

❤️ Llyod ❤️

📣 TO THE WOMAN WITH THE LONG BROWN HAIR WHO MET LLOYD YESTERDAY—THIS IS YOUR SIGN.

To the very nice woman who came to the shelter yesterday and met Lloyd…

We saw the way you connected with him. ❤️ You really seemed to have a soft spot for this sweet boy.

And then, while you were there, you watched another family meet Lloyd. You told us you thought, “If they choose him, then maybe it’s not meant to be.”

Well… they were going to adopt him.

But they just changed their minds.

So here we are, putting this out into the universe: Lloyd is still waiting. 🐾

Maybe you were right yesterday. Maybe it is meant to be. Maybe Lloyd was supposed to find his way to you, just not quite in the way you expected.

So, long-brown-haired Lloyd fan… if you’re seeing this, come back and see your boy. 🥹

We’ll be here. And Lloyd will be waiting. ❤️🐶
