Join the City of Franklin Stormwater Management on Saturday, March 29th to celebrate Tennessee Tree Day! We’ll be giving away FREE tree saplings to help increase the number of native trees across our city.
Whether you’re planting for aesthetics or habitat, native trees improve our communities by reducing air pollution, trapping rainwater, reducing urban temperatures, and providing homes and food for Tennessee’s wide variety of song birds.

FFFR currently has 11 dogs in our care. We desperately need your help to continue to cover the costs associated with that care.

At the end/beginning of each month we need to send medications and prescription food out to the dogs that need them, as well as paying bills for their care that come due at the end of each month. We are woefully short!

With the exception of Larry - who was adopted in 2020 and returned recently, and Kona - who was adopted in 2018 and returned last year, all of them are "long-timers" in the rescue.

Kona is in a boarding situation with a wonderful and experienced trainer, until she can find her forever home. He tells us that she's made great strides!

Rosey and Noodles are forever foster dogs, due to medical issues.

Of the rest, several are hard to place because of behavioral issues that haven't been able to be remediated by training and rehabilitation.

Until placement can be found, FFFR is responsible for their care.

Rosey is in ongoing treatment for early stage kidney disease and chronic allergy-related skin issues. She's on a prescription diet and medication for her skin, and multiple medications to treat the symptoms of the kidney disease. The cost of the medications and food is approximately $450/month.

Others of the dogs need annual exams, vaccines, and tests.

There is always the unexpected emergency with dogs, as is true with children. Any of you who are pet owners know that from experience.

Our rescue was founded in 2014. Over the past 11 years we have rescued over 1000 dogs. That's 1000 dogs who have had all the medical care and behavioral care they needed and have found fantastic forever homes. We have only been able to do that because of YOU - our friends, followers, animal advocates, donors, fosters, adopters, volunteers.

One of my favorite sayings is "It always takes a village!" I am begging you - please continue to be a part of that village, or join us now and build a bigger village! We are desperate! We have NO funds! We need each and every one of you now because the DOGS need you.

We're non-profit. We are all volunteers. None of us is paid for what we do. The ONLY things we can offer you in return for your donations are 1) the sense that you have had a part in saving a dog in urgent need, and 2) a tax deduction.

Please help! Please donate today! The dogs need us and we need you!
