This little mare came in about 3 weeks ago and was very pregnant!! Got her eating good groceries and trusting me to be around her. She had her foal on april 9th at 950am, he is a very healthy and active foal. We love watching him run around. Mom is getting better with letting him run more and more. Stay tuned for gentling of mom and everyday handlings of the foal. :) mom and foal are both Devil's Garden Mustangs.

This little mare is doing fantastic!! This is the first time I have been on her and asked anything of her. Took her a min, but I love taking my time and allowing them to think about things.

Love this, very true!!

“Green flags when choosing a trainer.” It’s easy to spot drama. It’s harder to recognize steady professionalism.

Here’s what I look for in a solid training program (and why there aren't many places I'd leave my horse at):

🟢 Horses that look relaxed, not tense.
🟢 Young horses being brought along slowly.
🟢 Turnout built into the routine.
🟢 Fewer gadgets, more foundation.
🟢 A trainer who can explain the why, not just the what.
🟢 A trainer that has mentors and believes in continued education.
🟢 Adjustments made without ego.
🟢 Progress that looks consistent, not dramatic.
🟢 Sound older horses still working happily.

Good training usually isn’t flashy. It doesn’t rely on exhaustion to create obedience.

Remember: Put the horse first. If you don't see that- keep looking.

2nd day of clinic went very well!! Everyone made huge progress throughout the weekend and the horses did amazing as well.

We had a big variety of levels on horses and riders and I loved it.
Had one who has decent amount of experience working and figuring out a new horse to her this weekend. One was a younger greener rider figuring out an older horse and allowing him to understand how she rides along with her figuring out how he needs her to ride. Then we had a very young mustang who needed to learn who boss is and not just do what he wanted to do lol 😆 😂. Loved it and had fun! This big beautiful boy needs his human. He needs someone who can take the time to build a relationship with him so he understands your ways but someone who does not allow him to bully them around. He can be a bullhead if he wants to be, but he is a sweetheart. Needs a confident individual and preferably someone who knows the Mustang way. He does need a refresher, which I am working on that while he in. He is remembering though from last year so that is a very good sign. Do you want a safe place to board your horse year round? Come check our place out at the galloping inn/ route 6 corral!! The horses are very well taken care of and all are very happy and content. I love walking out in the fields and seeing them laying out in the sunshine 😀.
