Very proud of these two young ladies! They showed up and rode fabulously this weekend, even in the heat. They were SO supportive of each other, brought each other’s horses water and kept each other hydrated and cool too! Their sportsmanship towards not only each other but to all the riders around them made me a proud trainer this weekend 🥰

Their riding sure made me proud too though!! Lydia had some challenging moments to start the Hunter day, but ended up taking home a reserve in her hunter division and a grand her jumpers! Addie piloted Edison through some lovely rounds, taking home a grand champion for her hunter division! Both girls have sure been doing their homework and it’s paying off - every show gets better and better and their riding has improved so much this year! I am grateful every day to have these lovely young riders, their fabulous horses, and their wonderful families in our barn.

We’re on a bit of a breather now before the next show, but we’ve got plenty of homework to keep us busy! 😉

So proud of these two kiddos for their dedication and determination in this sport!! They showed up today and rode their socks off on a challenging course with Trish. Lots of tough questions and learning moments, and they both walked out with tons of new tools in their toolboxes! Excited to keep working on the weekend’s homework - teaching these two is such a joy and their willingness to put in the hard work reflects tenfold in their riding. Great job, ladies!

No video this go-round, but there’s still no other way I’d rather spend a holiday! Kicked it off with this big red-headed goof 💕 Davina and I got to sneak in a pre-weekend ride with the always-phenomenal Trish Ryan today and it was, as always, exactly what we needed! To what I am sure is no one’s surprise, my latest mantra is “think less, ride more” 🤪 another super educational ride under our belts, and looking forward to an excellent weekend! Kiddos get to ride Sunday for some stadium work and I know they’re going to have such a blast.
Thank you SO much to Miss Lydia (Eve) for allowing me to borrow her best girl for the day, to the SSHF crew for hosting, to Donegan Ryan Eventing for spending their weekend with us, and to Lois James for continuing to bring Mike and Trish to Spokane - for my horse folks of ANY discipline, I cannot say enough good things about these clinicians 🥰 every ride I come away with more knowledge, new insights, and a better understanding of myself as a rider and each horse I get the opportunity to ride. Here’s to a fabulous holiday weekend! 🐴🇺🇸🎆

Pretty blue skies and even lovelier rides this week! We’re heading up the road this weekend to ride with the Irish, Mike and Trish Ryan, and off to our favorite outreach the weekend after at Meadow View Farm, the Columbia Outreach series! 🐴☀️

These two kiddos had a fabulous weekend learning from one of the greats! Huge thank you to Pam, Vanessa, and the Meadow View Farm team for hosting and organizing, and thank you SO much to Susan Hutchison for an amazing educational opportunity for our riders! We all came home with lots to practice and work on, and each group was challenged in all the right ways. Thank you Susie and MVF crew!

Hunter day at the Columbia HJ Outreach Show for these two gals was a huge success! These kiddos came out to a very busy show ground with two still-pretty-new mounts, and absolutely rode their socks off. I am SO proud of them for riding and navigating a very busy day so beautifully, for their sportsmanship and kindness to other riders, and for pushing themselves to be their very best. As with any show, we’ve got some homework to do before the next one, but they’ve had a crazy good start to their first ever show season and I could not be happier for them! ♥️

First show of the season in the books! Miss Lydia and Davina had their partnership debut this weekend at the SRHJA schooling show and absolutely ROCKED it. It was a blustery day, first show of the season, and Lydia’s second show EVER, (and first time in the hunters!) and I cannot begin to express how proud I am of this pair. There were some learning moments and homework to work on, but this young lady’s sportsmanship, attitude, and enthusiasm were above and beyond from start to finish. The pair has been working SO hard this winter, and it sure paid off in the show ring! Every goal we had for the day was met by leaps and bounds, and even got to take home a few blues to boot in some TOUGH (and big!) classes!!💕 I may not be able to convince this jumper-at-heart to play in the hunters very often, but I’m hopeful they’ll give it a go more often after this show!

We’ve got a few days to rest before we head over to Meadow View Farm for the Columbia Hunter Jumper Outreach show, where we’ll have a few more riders in the ring for the first time this spring! Show season is off to one heck of a start, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come! Congratulations Lydia and Davina, and good luck to our riders competing this coming weekend!

Very proud of these two young ladies this week! They’re working SO hard to prep for the upcoming season, each on a brand new mount, and each growing so quickly in their skill, confidence, and horsemanship in and out of the saddle 🥰 great job girls, it’s going to be a fantastic season!

Cannot thank Sally Parks and the Parkwood Equestrian team enough for helping us match these two kiddos to the most perfect horses for each of them 🥹♥️ Lydia’s confidence and love of the jumpers have been able to blossom with the help of the sweet-and-speedy Davina, and Edison has been the perfect gentleman (with just the right amount of personality) for Addie to hone her technical skills for the Hunter and eq rings!

First shows coming up in just a few weeks - we can’t wait!!!

Congratulations to Miss Addie and family on the newest team member! We are so excited for Addie and Edison (“Bright Idea” 💡) to begin their journey together! He traveled beautifully and got off the trailer cool as a cucumber - we’re thrilled to have this handsome boy on the team!
