Buster is looking for his perfect home!💙💛

If you’ve been in the store you’ve definitely seen Buster waving at you and maybe even heard his barking! Buster was entrusted to us to help find him a new home, but they wanted us to try him out as a store bird first. Unfortunately this environment is just not what Buster prefers, he gets really worked up and agitated if we get busy and multiple people are near his cage.

Buster only ever had one home, and he hatched 4/10/2002. He’s in perfect feather condition and is overall a quiet boy, but HATES scooters and bikes going by and will let out a big macaw scream to warn everyone. He’s very reserved at first and will need someone willing to be patient and build that trust with him. We’ve had a couple workers be able to hold and pet him, so we know it’s absolutely doable! We’ve been transitioning him off of Hagen Tropimix and have gotten him onto a mix of Tropistix, Roudybush and Harrisons. He’s a pretty picky eater and hasn’t wanted to give veggies a shot while with us, as he’s very suspicious of them! He’s pretty respectful of other birds, he avoids the other macaws and only strikes at little birds if they land on his cage close to him.

Buster’s ideal environment is someone who works from home most or full time, and has large bird experience and can work with him on building trust. He would do best with no young children, or if they’re extremely respectful of his space it could possibly work. He would probably do best in his own room or a calmer room and not in the main living environment, at least to begin with while he settles in.

If you’re interested in Buster, please message us directly so we can ask some questions. If that checks out then we can set up a time for you to come in and meet him and fill out an application. We are in no rush to rehome him and will make sure that we find the best home possible for him! We will require at least 3 visits before we seriously consider an application.

Wow! We sold all 5 of our parakeets within 24 hours of them being available for deposits! If you missed out on this clutch, don’t worry, we have another pair working the box and should be laying eggs here soon.

We also have a box on our normal x opaline black capped conure pair and our opaline x opaline black capped conure pair. Both are first timers so we will see how it goes, fingers crossed!

Lastly we put a box on a first time pair of peach faced lovebirds that’ll produce beautiful babies. We’ve been patiently waiting for the male to mature and he’s finally ready! Our female is a Seagreen (aka aqua turquoise) and the male is a sf dark turquoise pied, so it’ll be interesting to see what their babies look like.

Squawks A Lot Aviary has put a box on their crimson belly conures as well as their black masked lovebirds, so keep an eye out for them as well.

All of our breeding birds are disease tested for PBFD, avian Bornavirus and avian Polyoma virus and we test one baby from each clutch for PBFD and Polyoma. You will receive a copy of each parents disease testing as well as the one baby per clutch results if you get a baby bird from us! Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions!

We only have one baby weaned that’s still available, our female peach faced lovebird. But we have lots of rehome birds looking for their new forever families too. I’ll include more information under each birds picture. Please feel free to message us with any further questions or pricing!

All weaned or adult birds require 50% down to hold them, and 25% is nonrefundable. We require applications and at least 2-3 visits before we seriously consider an application for all of our birds.

Here’s all of our available green cheek conure babies! It’s been so fun being able to have them in the aviaries, it really helps build their confidence and independence, and gets them lots of flying practice. Some of the older babies are starting the weaning process and tend to be a bit more aloof, but trust me when I say that they’re all extremely sweet once they know you!

Here’s a breakdown of what we currently have available:
- Two male and two female dilute yellowsides
- One male and one female turquoise
- Two male single factor violet (SFV) turquoises
- One male SFV turquoise yellowside
- Two male SFV mints
- One female opamint

Under each picture I’ll include band, DNA and mutation. If there’s multiple birds I’ll list them off from left to right. Feel free to message us with any questions and to inquire further!

Ollie is showing off our new playtop cage! This cage has a natural wood perch on top and inside, and has really strong bars, perfect for small cockatoos, greys, mini macaws or any other similarly sized bird. We personally much prefer a wide cage to a tall cage, it gives you so much extra space for hanging toys!

I don’t know how Chewy is still here, he’s just the sweetest boy!

Chewy is a 9 year old male canary winged parakeet with an adorable scissor beak. He’s happiest on a shoulder but also will gladly hang out on top of his cage. He’s taken a liking to Hope and has been riding around on her shoulder throughout the day! He seems to be polite to other birds as well, he’s mostly indifferent to them. He doesn’t seem to love men, but is tolerable to them. He definitely prefers women. He’s a chatter box and likes to talk, he can get loud at times but usually it’s because he wants to be on your shoulder. If you’re looking for a little bird to just ride around and hang out all day, Chewy is your guy! Because of his scissor beak he does need regular trims, which we are more than happy to provide. He also comes with his playtop cage.

All of our birds require an application and at least 2-3 visits before we seriously consider an application. Feel free to come in and meet him and all our other birds in person!

The clutch of gremlins— I mean parakeets are also growing so fast! They’re definitely in their piranha phase right now, but I know they’ll get over it as soon as they start exploring more solid foods. These babies will be available for deposits later this week once we get DNA results back.
