Feeling safe and sound at Colorful Canines! 🐾 We're all about creating a fun and secure environment for our furry friends. That's why every summer, we make it a point to treat our yard for fleas and ticks. We take tick-borne illnesses seriously and are strong advocates for doing everything we can to prevent these pests. This way, even dogs who can't have prevention treatments can live and play safely. And guess what? Cotton CloudPuff here, your favorite dog blogger, ready to dish out some dirt... or rather, get rid of it! Today, we're diving headfirst into the wonderful world of grooming. Let's keep those tails wagging and coats shining!
Grooming isn't just about looking good (though, let's be honest, that's a HUGE part of it!). It's also about keeping us healthy and happy. Regular grooming helps prevent mats, skin problems, and even those pesky parasites. Plus, who doesn't love a good pampering session?

Cotton's Top Grooming Tips🛁

Brushing: A daily brush keeps the tangles away! It also helps distribute natural oils, keeping our coats healthy and shiny. For fluffy breeds like me, a good slicker brush and a metal comb is a lifesaver! Hey I bet we carry those in store!

Bathing: We don't need baths too often, as long as we are on a frequent grooming schedule. But when we do, use a high quality, dog-friendly shampoo (get a coat specific one at Colorful Canines!). Make sure to rinse thoroughly!

Nail trims: Long nails can be uncomfortable and even painful. Keep 'em trimmed! If you're nervous or your pups nervous, our groomer can help.

Ear cleaning: Clean ears are happy ears! Use a gentle ear cleaner to remove wax and debris. This helps prevent infections. Make sure to consult our groomers for recommended products.

Teeth brushing: Fresh breath is the best breath! Regular teeth brushing helps prevent dental disease. Use a dog-specific toothpaste – human toothpaste is a no-no!

My Favorite Product!

Speaking of shampoos, I have to tell you about my absolute favorite! It's the THE line Shampoo we carry here at the salon.
