As of June 1, my cottage will be back on Airbnb after a 2 year hiatus. I’m excited to be back at it!! I love to host families, and allow them to interact with all the barn animals. Here’s to a busy 2025!! 😃

We were lucky enough to have one of our puppies come stay for the Winter Games weekend!! Archer's new family lives in DesMoines and is some of our besties. Olivia had a great weekend of play, and she and Jackson taught Archer how to use the doggie doors.
I can't believe how big he is already!! 😍
Our puppies updates are always the highlight of the week...they are all so loved!!! ❤️

We have another new addition at Coyote Ranch!!
After a rough month for little Cricket being attacked twice (she’s okay…it was a Coyote first, and POS local dogs the second time) I spent a day on the road to go pick up her new bodyguard, Ollie!! Ollie has been a herd protector his whole life. I thought that he’d stay outside all the time…but it only took 2 nights of everyone else coming in at night for him to share his displeasure. He feels that it’s far too cold and lonely in NW Iowa to be outside by himself. So he comes in at night also!! Cricket had to give up her stall and go back in the storage corner…but it’s a small price for the protection that she’ll receive. I’ve had no prior experience with donkeys…but I absolutely love this one! Ollie is so sweet, and very quick to greet anyone that might be serving meals. 😂 He’s been tolerant of Cricket bossing him around, and seems to have accepted to she will always rule their shared spaces. He loves ALL treats, and loves to be brushed. Getting him to do anything that he doesn’t want to has been interesting…rather a stubborn boy.
So far, life on the ranch is better with a donkey in it!! ❤️
