It is pretty rare Eric and Miranda get a day off. That is the nice thing about living where you work it’s easy to be at work but that is also the hard part. Even when we should take days off we don’t because we are constantly there & surrounded by everything we have to do 24/7. We love what we do so we just choose to work rather than taking days off.

However, it is important to find time to get away as well. I am so thankful for our wonderful staff that when we are gone they are there so everything can run as smoothly as if we were there too. Did you know that when we are gone even just for an overnight one of the managers actually stays at the house so someone is always on site even if we are gone? This weekend marks the first dance competition weekend of the season! So with that, we made a fun trip to Sioux Falls out of the weekend. Grace stayed at the house & ran the circus that is the resort for the weekend! We are beyond thankful for her & all of our workers that are so amazing at their jobs to be able to take care of our guests while we get some family & dance time in!

This year we have started to offer 2 new boarding packages, one of which is called VIP or Very Important Pup.

While all of our dogs receive the same exceptional care no matter what package you choose. Including 4-6 potty breaks a day, fresh water & meals prepared same as at home, play sessions with updates sent, a comfy room that accommodates their size in an area that fits their personality. Plus owners live on site and are very hands on & our staff is on site all day from breakfast to bedtime caring for your pets. If you choose to upgrade to VIP this guarantees that they will receive lodgings in an indoor/outdoor room that has access to their own personal patio area weather permitting. While in their suite they enjoy their very own doggie couch and tv where they can watch a variety of things including dog tv, movies & wildlife. With this package owners receive updates with pictures of what their pup has been up to sent to them daily. For play sessions with the VIP package every other day they get 3 enrichment play sessions which provide both mental and physical stimulation as well as a 4th session with a mental enrichment snack. The other days they still receive a regular play session in between resting & watching tv in their room.

The price for this package is $70/day for a single dog, $100/day for 2 dogs sharing a room & $138/day for 3 dogs sharing. We do also charge half days so you only have to pay for the time the dogs are in our care.

This year we have started to offer 2 new boarding packages, one of which is called Premium Boarding.

All of our dogs receive exceptional care no matter which package you choose. Everyone receives a room that accommodates their size and needs. It is furnished with a raised cot or dog bed, based on owner & dog preference, as well as a blanket. Each guest receives 4-6 potty breaks a day as well as one-on-one play sessions with our wonderful staff members.

Upgrading your pup to our premium boarding will guarantee that they receive a room with an indoor/outdoor run, which is accessible depending on weather and allows them the ability to enjoy their own private outdoor area or be inside their room at their own pleasure. With this package owners will receive “vacation updates” informing them about what their pup has been up to, along with pictures every day during their stay.

The price is $55/day for a single dog in a room, $75/day for 2 dogs sharing a room & $100/day for 3 dogs sharing a room. We do require all dogs that room together be able to eat together or additional charged may apply. We also charge by half days so you only pay for the time your dog is with us.

We have been getting a ton of interest in our new tiered boarding options. So we figured we would break it down by tier because we understand that leaving your pet can be tough and we strive to provide top-tier care no matter what tier you choose. We have wonderful staff members that love getting to meet and form relationships with all of our guests that come for a visit. There is always someone from our staff on site working to care for the animals in our facility from breakfast to bedtime. Plus, the owners live on site and there are cameras for added peace of mind and security.

Our standard boarding is the same thing we have always done so rest assured with this tier your pets are getting all the love & care we are known for. Here at Heartland all of our visitors receive a room that accommodates their size and needs chosen by our staff. It is furnished with a raised cot or dog bed, based on owner and dog preference, as well as a blanket. Our standard rooms are indoor without a doggie door however if in/out rooms are still available we will choose dogs for free upgrades.

Each guest receives 4-6 potty breaks a day as well as one on one play sessions with our wonderful staff members. Owners will be sent “vacation updates” every 2-3 days throughout the stay.

Starting June 1st our standard boarding prices will increase to $40/day for a single dog in a room, $60/day for 2 dogs sharing a room & $90/day for 3 dogs sharing a room. We do charge half days so you only pay for the time your dogs are here & not only by the full day. We do require that dogs sharing a room must be able to eat together.

Heads up as we get into our “busy season” we start to fill up fast & we are booking further out usually now until Fall/Winter sometime when things slow down a little bit. While we are almost always booked out 2-4 weeks out this is the time of year we are booked out 6-8 weeks. So as we have been encouraging many of you at your grooming appointments it’s important to plan ahead & book your next groom or two while you are at your appointment so you can stay on your preferred schedule. We do have a list for if we have a cancellation but other than that we do not have much wiggle room as we don’t want to overload our grooming day.
