Tracker Spotlight | 🚨Julio Morejon

Meet Julio Morejon, serving the Upstate (GZ 1 & 2) with his dog Mando.

Julio’s journey into tracking began about eight years ago after losing a buck because of inexperience. That moment sparked a passion to train a hound and start helping other hunters in the same tough spot. Along the way, he was fortunate to have Bryan Goodwin as a mentor, who took him under his wing and helped shape him into the tracker he is today.

For Julio, tracking is about much more than finding deer: “Being able to lend a hand, educate hunters, and bring closure to their hunt is why I love doing this. Nothing beats those big smiles when we recover a deer and know we made a difference in their season.”

Tracker Spotlight | 🚨Bryan Goodwin

Meet Bryan Goodwin, original founder of South Carolina Tracking Dogs, serving the Upstate (GZ 1 & 2) with his dog Lacy Grace.

Bryan’s journey into tracking started when his daughter shot a buck they couldn’t recover. That heartbreaking moment lit a fire in him to learn how to track, and since then he’s been helping friends, neighbors, and hunters recover deer that seemed lost.

For Bryan, it’s about more than the recovery: “The bond I share with my dog and bringing closure to hunters is what matters most. Whether we recover the deer or not, knowing we gave it our best brings peace and fulfillment.”

For Dustin, the most rewarding part is simple: “I enjoy all aspects of tracking, but helping young hunters is what makes the effort worthwhile.”
