Ivy and Jamie did it again! Does your dog like to run, get the zoomies and make their own decisions on when and if they come back? This was Ivy. Just because she has rules, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t have excitement or energy. We just taught her how to channel it to get what we want so she gets what she wants. Wanna run? Great! Will she come when we call every single time? Absolutely! Good job Ivy!

These two were a pair. Azzy was the skeptical one and wasn’t sure about things unless gabby was around and did it first. Gabby had a tad more confidence but still took her own time to adjust, learn and adapt. When we train multiple dogs from same house at same time, we train them individually first to make sure they each get all our attention and to simplify the process for them. Then we bring them together and it’s magic! These two did awesome and could not be more proud of what they accomplished! Good job Gabby & Azzy!

Luke has so much drive!! He would constantly nip at your hands and would get super feisty around other dogs. The distraction phase was the perfect opportunity to see how he responded to the training. Two dogs off leash, obeying the commands and bad behaviors are gone. The training needs to be maintained but we are here to help with that! Let us bring your trained dog home and teach you how to communicate with your pet the right way! Congratulations Luke!

Sometimes it’s best to hear from the owners themselves. Emma has the biggest heart but as you can see she is a very big and strong girl. Going for a walk was a dream because she would pull you to the ground (literally). She lived in a farm so the idea of her not running off was unimaginable. After Emma went home we continued to get videos and picture updates on how well she was doing (which we loved). Attached is a video they sent once they took her off the leash for a ride on the gator. Emma remained in heeling position! When they heeled her for this first time on leash, this is what they sent:

“The opposite of being dragged to his death. What a dream she is to walk now. I had to check and make sure she was on the end of the leash.”

Sweet Athena had a curious side. She would counter surf, eat socks and blankets and if she got a hold of something good luck getting her to spit it out! Some of these behaviors are extinguishable and others are taught. Athena enjoyed the training and the time she spent with Jamie. After her lesson, her owners know exactly what to do! To most, these pics do not look like a whole lot. But when the owner brings a dog that already has some training and his main concern is dog reactivity…..these are huge. This big boy had a big bark and would use it because he didn’t know what else to do. He loved belly rubs and loved to pull on the leash. His size made it difficult with or without distractions. He now understands what heeling means and that engaging with handler brings reward. Congrats Axel!

Bailey is here for our puppy class! The biggest mistake owners make is doing too much too fast at a young age. Our one week puppy class is focused on building drive, engagement, confidence and teaching markers through praise and reward.
