It is with tremendous sadness that I write this. The queen of the Sassy Bassets went to bed last night and flew to the Rainbow Bridge to be with her brother "Monty". I am certain that Monty was running around so excited to see her, just like she did when I brought him home. They ran around the yard for a good hour when they saw each other again. I am pretty sure they are doing the same thing now. Last February we lost Monty and this February we lost Maddie.

My heart is so broken. Maddie took care of all the Sassy Bassets and loved each and every one.

I feel sorry for people who are incapable of feeling the joy of helping others. Years ago we were all like family. Everybody looked out for one another. We need to go back to that. We have to do better at looking out for each other instead of breaking each other down. I'm going to make a bet, that out of my family and friends, less than 4 will take the time to put this on their wall.
