Konrad Lorenz was an outstanding naturalist. He shared the Noble prize in 1973 with Niko Tinbergen and Karl von Frisch (the bee dance!) and is considered one of the founders of modern ethology or animal behavior. He was also an entertaining and intelligent writter. Many may know him for his work with imprinting in birds and there are many lovely photos of a trail of ducks following him like he was their mama. Join me in reading his entertaining book on animal behavior 'King Solomon's Ring originally published in 1952.
