This is Cooper! & this is a long Reel!

Cooper’s family was referred to me by a friend (🤝🏼 always appreciated) after having some behavioral issues - not necessarily “common” for a lab but these dogs have more drive than people give them credit..
•
Not only did we turn his obedience 🆙 quite a few notches, his possessiveness over random articles around the house has been mitigated! Another happy family with an off leash capable dog..

Yes, my soon to be (5) year old can work a leash better than you - don’t be upset, it’s genetics 🧬

One hand on the leash / leash folded roughly in half.. if the dog pulls, 180 degree turn is an option to reset.. steady tension/immediate release prior to issuing a “sit” command.. “Heel” when you step off!

Penny was a private session pup who I had the pleasure of hosting for a few days while her family went away. Another dog’s family who I came to know and love as we met weekly to improve their dog’s obedience!

Golden’s are the perfect family dog - especially those with the “cream” color like Lucy!

With that being said, their affectionate nature can result in jumping, pulling towards strangers simply to say “Hi” and the occasional “body slam” onto their owners (as seemingly no dog is aware of their own size!)..
•
Fortunately, they’re highly trainable and always eager to learn. Lucy just wrapped up her five session private program and made great progress with all of the above 👆🏼 including jumping into her owners truck!
•
TCC is in direct competition with numerous chiropractors.. we have saved countless backs from going out!

From barking at every man, woman and dog to walking calmly through Lowe’s (maybe some barks now and again if she’s in a house setting), I’d call this one a success.
•
I’m always asked if I get attached to dogs that I have for training. Having a dog for 18 days - that went from wanting to 🪓 me to soliciting “belly rubs” has created some serious bonding for Reese and I. As with every dog, the band-aid has to get ripped and they’re inevitably happier to see their family than me. She is one I’ll miss!

Cooper (the lab)! TCC is officially at the point of training enough dogs that I’m getting into repeat names!

This was Cooper last Thursday.. checking out the slip leash and E-Collar for the first time.
•
Tonight, I had Cooper in a heel off leash for an entire walk to the local elementary school, followed by a down stay the length of a football field.. stand by for the video 🎥 this week!

TCC loves Pit Bulls, Staffordshire’s and your general mutt. While their reputation is enough to make most neighbors cross the street, I’ve come to love the breed.
•
Fun fact - every dog can bite! I’ve been bitten a handful of times during pet training:
German Shepherd, two Malinois, & a Yorkie! - with dogs, you can never judge based on breed or looks..
