The last couple weeks have involved steering, walk-trot transitions, shoulder moving, and today we cantered!

Xavier's lead changes thus far. He definitely has a good way and a bad way. Some on his bad way are ok, but others he has fits about. The couple that he kicked out at we did some work (not shown) right after to help eliminate that attitude problem. One had didn't switch his hind end, but got it a few strides later. There are some changes that are ok, others that are ok but he seems to swing his hind end out the opposite way he should, even though my leg is on him. We'll just keep working at it!

I got to ride a past training horse, Blaze, today. I had him about 6 years ago and after he was done with me he went to another trainer but hasn't been ridden much in the last few years. The owner is hoping to get him going again and I gave him a little ride today. Hopefully we can get him going good again.

Spending the summer working with my own two horses. This one is Xavier and he has a lot of work ahead of him with rundowns and stops, spins, lead changes, and reviewing a lot of other stuff he already knows. Got a couple videos of our spins from today. It's not great but it's better than it was. He's going around more willingly now.
