The fishing has been outstanding recently. We are fortunate enough to have a fishery that has an abundant population of wild rainbow trout, the perfect fall trout species to target. The browns and brook trout are beginning to spawn. Leave them alone and target rainbows. We have a few open slots left in October and plenty of opportunities to get out in November. Capture the Moments Not Just the Catch Photo Contest

We invite you to share your experience in the Connecticut River watershed through your lens. Take photos of the flowing water, scenic landscapes, your fellow anglers, your fly setup, or quiet moments on the river, all the details that make time on the water special.

To promote responsible recreation, we ask that if you do take photos of fish, do not show the fish held unethically. Keep the fish and your hands wet! With low and warm water conditions becoming more common, our goal is to protect these fragile populations by ensuring every fish is released quickly and safely.

How to enter:
- Take a photo or video while fly fishing between October 2nd-31st
-Post your best photo and tag to submit your entry
-All photos must be from the Connecticut River watershed

Prizes include: hand tied flies, and gear from Orvis and Loon!
