🌱 Fresh from our hydroponic farm, these vibrant greens are coming straight to you at the Westport Farmers Market! Join us this Thursday at 10 AM to taste the future of farming—sustainable, delicious, and locally grown! The greens in the picture are lettuce seedlings, not the full heads we bring to the Westport Farmers Market. These plants are only 21 days old , but they will be full heads in only 14 more days! Every week we transplant these lettuce seedlings into our shipping container farm. We always use non-GMO seeds and plant seeds into a biodegradable plug made from coconut husk and peat moss. Our plants thrive in the controlled environment, receiving the optimal amount of light, nutrients, carbon dioxide, airflow, and temperature. This means our lettuce grows faster, and healthier than its soil grown counterparts without exposure to extreme weather, pests, or insufficient water. On average, it takes just over a month for one crop cycle, and we produce all year round! You can get our delicious, pesticide/herbicide free lettuce and microgreens every week at Thursdays 10-2!

The Westport Farmers Market is back in its usual location on imperial Avenue this Thursday from 10-2! There will be live music, great food, and great people, so come on out and support your local farmers and small businesses. Looks like some nice weather in the morning around 80°. It’s our last week at the summer season! It’s supposed to be a beautiful day today and it’s Halloween! There’s a costume contest for the vendors and kids. Come on out and fuel up with some great food/drink for trick or treating tonight!
