❤️🩹❤️🩹Happy Gotcha Day Alucard!!! Aka AL ❤️🩹❤️🩹
This is story of 2 tails!!
This little guy was in the country with his humans while mom was out of town and somehow found himself outside with the resident house fluff Ollie.
Ollie returned home but little Alucard didn’t.
Dad and the family looked and searched everywhere. They posted and of course, everyone said to get a drone, which resulted in nothing being found.
Then mom reached out to us. We knew she spinning and we needed to get her on the path to activity working towards his recovery.
Mom, Paige, and her bestie Meagan who we call Kung Fu as she’s a Brazilian jujutsu master. I cannot say enough awesome things about these 2!!!
Kung Fu kept her bestie on the path while setting up cameras and doing feeding stations. We had her laughing and Paige was surrounded by love from everyone around her.
While setting up we heard some 4 wheelers in a neighboring property. Mom got nervous, of course, immediately worried that this might push him further away. And since we already had four days of searching, calling and the drone, she was worried that she for sure he wouldn’t be found. We reassured her that he was still there.
Later in the evening we received a call that someone has Alucard and that they were looking for owners. Here’s where it gets interesting.
Apparently those same 4- wheelers saw him sitting in the corner field. Of course the sound from them scared him so he rose and kids saw him. They pursued him and then went and their mother. Another pursuit incurred and ended with him being chased down by the four wheelers, and then netted. Which at that point, I guess the lady went to go pick them up and because he was so freaked out he did get a good chomp on her hand. Nervous, they carried him and put them in a crate and then drove him to the nearest vet which it would’ve been after hours emergency to see if he had a microchip. I guess once arriving at the vet, they said they were too busy to scan for a chip and sent them away. So the Family then started to check Facebook which they saw his lost info and then called mom and dad.
We are really grateful that this family was able to get their hands on him however how it was done was extremely dangerous. You should never chase an animal on a four wheeler because they don’t always run straight and you can end up running them over and killing them. This is with any type of bicycle, four wheeler or any instrument that you would ride on, all of them are dangerous. Then to be knitted and grabbed is another extremely scary situation for an animal as well. We do want to caution anyone against trying to do this to an animal as it doesn’t always end well. In this situation- we got lucky.
Once the handover was made, he was ecstatic to see Mom and then spent the next 20 minutes, cuddling and licking all over her face. He was definitely still nervous and had no idea what went on.
Mom took him home, he did not sleep very well last night and was up most the evening and overnight but then was over the moon to start seeing his tiny humans.
These lil babes asked when he would be home as they didn’t understand he was lost, which was heartbreaking. It’s always very stressful for children in these situations and parents do their best to try to comfort and explain what was happening. Paige and Anthony too, did their best while their hearts were breaking. 💔
They both had asked me over and over if he was still out there, alive.
YES!!! And he didn’t stop looking for them!
The family and Al are now going through decompression. All our families in the club already know- what that means.
The babies were sleeping when AL got home and we wanted to share why we work so hard for these lives- reuniting and making a family who again IS why we do it.
Thank you to the family who saw AL and were able to get him. Thank to King Fu for being so awesome and sticking by your ride or die, Paige. Anthony and Paige- thank you for trusting us and our process, I know you had so much bad advice for days but everything happened like we discussed and your baby is now back!!!!
