We welcomed two new Sheltie Puppies Sunday night/Monday morning. A bi-blue girl and a bi-black boy and both are happy and healthy!
The last few years have been tough for us, with small litters, failed breedings, and circumstances beyond our control making it so we can't produce the kind of offspring we want.
We choose our breedings to produce the best quality of dogs we can. We want to improve the breed with every breeding we do, but most of all we want our dogs to have forever homes - families that can care for them for their entire lives, and give them the love and attention they deserve.
Breeding dogs the right way is hard. Trying to improve the quality of the breed is hard. Being told by judges that you don't deserve to be recognized for the quality of your dog, even though you think they're a perfect example of the breed is hard.
So anybody out there wanting to purchase a dog, know that it's worth the research and price to purchase a purebred dog, and at the same time, know that it's extremely hard for the breeder to produce and then let go of that dog.
