We would like to introduce Katie Morris, and welcome her to the Trails End family. Katie has been working at the kennels as the weekend groomer for a few months now. Here is a little bio about her...

Katie grew up in Bismarck and moved to Arizona in middle school. She finished her schooling there and went into the law enforcement field. After an amazing 20 year career, Katie and her family moved to Dickinson where she continues to serve her community through the court system.

Her love of animals was instilled in early childhood. She has owned cats and dogs her entire life, and has had the pleasure of growing up around cows and horses. Currently, Katie and her family have 2 dogs and 4 cats all who are rescued... you may even see her Tater at the courthouse as he comes to work with her most weekdays.

Katie has always been interested in grooming and was able to get her schooling completed in 2024. She has been working at the kennels since March of this year. Katie welcomes all dog breeds, and loves to see the farm dogs come in for a bit of papering! If your pup needs a bath, trim, shedding blow out and even the extreme dematting call or text to get on her weekend schedule.

Katie's availability will be Friday afternoons, Saturday and Sundays. We are by appointment only.

Looking for the perfect summer job? Trails End Kennels is hiring dependable, hard-working animal lovers to join our team!

This is a great opportunity for a high school or college student who enjoys working with dogs and being outdoors.

Job Duties Include:
Feeding and caring for dogs
Cleaning kennels and maintaining a sanitary environment
Giving dogs attention, exercise, and plenty of love
Communicating clearly and professionally with pet owners
Additional Duties for the Right Candidate:
Lawn mowing and yard care
General facility maintenance
What We’re Looking For:
Must LOVE dogs 🐶
Responsible and dependable
Good communication skills
Able to work independently and stay motivated
Comfortable working outdoors and around animals

Flexible summer hours available. Experience with animals is helpful but not required — we’re willing to train the right person!

We were absolutely disgusted to see the video that was shared yesterday about the abuse at Plum Creek Kennels.
There is zero excuse for any kind of animal mistreatment. None. Dogs are family, and anyone who would harm them has no business being in this industry.
We want to be very clear with our community: what happened in that video does not represent how the majority of kennels operate. I think i am speaking for all the facility’s in our community! Most of us who run boarding and grooming facilities are in this business for one simple reason — we love dogs. We got into this work because we genuinely care about every single animal that walks through our doors, and we treat them like our own. My wife and I could not have children so dogs have become our family and we treat them as such!
