Local pair looking for a home 🤍🩷

We are happy to report that Doug aka Dingo aka Clyde is in his (hopefully) forever home! He is one of the dogs that was found roaming in the Hatfield / Whately area earlier this spring.

🟩 Thank you to Better Together Dog Rescue for arranging and paying for his behavior evaluation with Denise Cook.

🔶Thank you to the kind citizens who took this boy in when he was found wondering with his sister. Robin MacDonald and family were his original saviors 🩵

🟩Thank you to Friends of the Franklin County Regional Dog Shelter for taking him in when initially found, even though he wasn’t in their jurisdiction.

🔶 Thank you to everyone in our office that helped take care of this boy during his stay with us. He was also neutered and got up to date on his medical care at the clinics expense.

🟩 Thank you to everyone that reached out with help and shared his posts. The community network is how we were able to get his story out there and find his new people.

🔶 Thank you to Shawna Williams for taking this boy and introducing him to house life. We know he peed everywhere and barked a lot and drove you crazy.

🟩 We mostly want to thank his new family for stepping up and taking a chance on a less than perfect dog. We are forever grateful to you 🤍

Clyde aka Doug aka Dingo is a 1 year old male neutered Podengo is looking for a forever home! He is currently 35lbs and will end up about 40lvs once he is up to a healthy weight. He is 1 of the 2 dogs that was found roaming in Hatfield a few weeks ago. His sister was transferred to a breed specific rescue but unfortunately Clyde did not make the cut.

As this breed is, Clyde is very high energy! It is believed that he was part of a hunting pack and has never lived in a home before. His foster mom is diligently working to teach him the basics such as potty training and his commands.

Clyde loves other dogs! He is submissive to other but doesn’t always take a hint. He responds well to correction from other dogs.

He has met a cat and was very excited about it! The cat left a nail in his muzzle but he still thinks they are friends!

Clyde has had a behavior assessment and the full report is available to anyone that may be interested in him!

We openly admit that he has a lot to learn in order to be a good citizen, but he is an eager participant!
