One of my favorite parts of grooming is making sure dogs have a positive experience from start to finish. That means no waiting in cages and plenty of opportunities to relax, enjoy treats, and leave feeling happy and comfortable.

Sweet Marigold came in for her spaw day and brought all the sunshine with her ☀️💛

We took things at her pace, focusing on keeping her comfortable, relaxed, and feeling safe every step of the way. Lots of breaks, lots of reassurance, and of course… lots of treats 🍪✨

She did such a lovely job and left feeling fresh, happy, and proud of herself 🥰

Scratch boards are a great way to help dogs learn to file their own nails in a low-stress, cooperative way—but those sharp little nails can catch you while they’re still learning!

💡 **Pro tip:** Wear a glove while training to protect your hands, especially in the early stages when your dog is still figuring it out.

Keep sessions short, positive, and reward often. With a little patience, your dog will build confidence and learn a great lifelong skill!

🐾 Trixie had her first Happy Handling training session today!🐾

Happy Handling sessions are perfect for dogs who aren’t quite ready for a full groom all at once. These shorter, more frequent visits focus on helping dogs slowly get comfortable with the grooming process through gentle handling, treats, and positive experiences.

By going at the dog’s pace and building confidence step by step, we can help grooming become something they feel safe and relaxed about.

Trixie is off to a great start and we’re excited to keep building her confidence! 💛🐶

🐾Willow came in for her Meet & Treat today! 🐾

Meet & Treat visits are a great way for dogs to get comfortable with the grooming salon before their first full groom. Today Willow spent some time exploring the space, getting used to the grooming table, and enjoying some treats while we practiced gentle handling.

These visits help dogs build positive associations with grooming, so when it’s time for their appointment they already feel more confident and relaxed.

Willow did a wonderful job today and we’re so excited to keep building her comfort and confidence during future visits. 💛🐶
