This is a beautiful tribute by All 4 Animals Rescue Inc. to all of the fur babies that have crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈🩷
It is so difficult losing a pet, they are truly family! I lost my childhood cat in 2022 after having him for 16 years (he was 18!). It was devastating, but posts like these help to keep all of our lost fur babies alive in our hearts 🩵
I also have experienced loss as a pet sitter. It was not something I expected to experience as part of the job - and let me tell you it is so difficult! Growing a bond with dogs over the years and losing them. This year I lost two dogs in my Pugs N’ Pals pet family that I deeply cared for. 💔 My heart goes out to their families and I will forever remember them and how lucky I was to be a part of their lives. 🐾💜
Today we remember those very loved souls who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge!
They will not go quietly,
the pets who’ve shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know
their spirit still survives.
Old habits still can make us think
we hear them at the door
Or step back when we drop
a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place
the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night,
we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends
and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts
belongs to them…
and always will.
Share your loved fur babies who have crossed the rainbow bridge but still hold a special place in your heart!
We at A4A remember 13 animals we’ve lost this year. We are forever grateful for our team and fosters for being there through the good and the heartbreak.
