💜 A little behind the scenes about our bowls 💜
It makes me sad when people walk past my trailer and comment on how “expensive” the bowls are. The very last thing I’d ever want is for anyone to think I’m trying to rip them off.
Fruit prices change constantly — when it’s in season, it’s cheaper, and when it’s not, the price can almost double (like right now). Unlike some products, fruit isn’t something I can buy in bulk when it’s cheap, freeze, and serve later. To keep the bowls fresh and high quality, I buy fruit every 2–3 days.
Even when my costs go up, the price of the bowls stays the same. I do that because I care about consistency and making sure you always know what you’re getting. I wish fruit was always cheaper so more people could enjoy them, but it just isn’t realistic — especially when trying to keep a small business going.
If someone feels the bowls are overpriced and doesn’t want to come, I completely understand. If someone chooses to make them at home to save money, I understand that too. Going out to eat or buying from a food truck is truly a luxury, and I’m just grateful for those who choose to enjoy that luxury with me. ❤️
At the end of the day, there are a lot of addictions out there — and let’s be real, most aren’t so great. But being addicted to our acai bowls? Definitely one of the better ones. 😉
Thank you to everyone who continues to support fresh, local, small businesses like mine. Every bowl really does make a difference. Stop by and see us at A Glo Spa & Salon today! We’re here from 7am-4pm.
