Ordinarily, our updates emphasize positive news, but the animal rescue community is now grappling with extraordinary challenges. Adoptions have decreased, grants for smaller rescues have been eliminated, and donations are limited. With over 20 years of experience in animal rescue, we are facing difficulties that make each day a challenge. Nevertheless, intermittent successes give us the encouragement we need to carry on. We sincerely ask that you consider donating to support our efforts, as we are facing unprecedented financial struggles.

Some exciting news! Four Paws to Love is participating, for the 5th year in a row, in Clear the Shelters, sponsored by NBC. Last year, one of our kittens was featured on NBC Bay Area (Channel 11) and was adopted! Look for our further posts. The event begins on Friday, August 1, and lasts throughout the entire month of August.

Peekaboo! 🙀

This sweet girl is a little shy but still loves affection. 😻

She was found as a stray in Santa Cruz and brought into the , but due to her age, they didn’t have the resources to take care of her so we took her on! She has made progress in her foster home and will make a very sweet pet. 😽

We suggest Peekaboo’s forever home be somewhat quiet and willing to take things slowly so she can gain confidence. 😸

Meet Sweet Pea (dilute calico) and her sister Zinnia (orange and white girl), two lovely felines who have overcome a challenging beginning. After spending five weeks in isolation undergoing treatment for a fungal infection, they have blossomed into confident and affectionate companions. Due to their strong bond, we prefer that they be adopted together. We rarely make this request, but their initial six weeks in foster care were marked by their devotion to each other, playful interactions, and eager anticipation of their foster mom's visits. Please share to help us find a wonderful home for these deserving girls, where they can thrive together without an extended wait.

The scariest time of year is coming up for our pet. Please take some time to think about making them comfortable in the next two weeks with all the scary sounds. And yes, if you would like to buy us some Kitten food and drop it off that would be amazing as we have lots of little bellies to feed. You can see us at PetPals on Saturdays from 2 to 5 PM.
