AKC Breeder Of Merit We are proud of our puppies, and the dogs they come from.

In 1990 we began competing our dogs in AKC Field Trials with great success, having finished multiple AKC Field Champions and Amateur Field Champions. We are an 'AKC Breeder Of Merit' and in 2015 the American Kennel Club awarded us 'Breeder Of The Year' By Sport For Field Events for all pointing breeds. All Si

Every litter is carefully planned with a continuing goal of excellence, to preserve, protect and improve the breed. Litters are in-home whelped and receive daily stimulation, personal attention and affection (Baby Love). This helps to make our puppies biddable, sweet, affectionate and well socialized dogs. We work hard to have good bloodlines as well as to stand behind what we breed. We Breed For:

Edisto (SC, 1 ½ yo, 41 lbs.) is a real sweetheart, according to his foster dad Ricardo.

He said, “Edisto loves company—highly food-motivated and even more enthusiastic if you have a ball in hand (his favorite toy). He’s learned to sit and wait before exiting doors, though as a high-energy GSP, he does need occasional reminders to be patient. A firm “No” works well or stepping between him and whatever has caught his attention. He also knows not to eat from his bowl until given the “ok” command, which I also use before allowing him to exit doorways. He enjoys chewing on his toys, so I only leave them with him while supervised to ensure he doesn’t consume any pieces. He seems to prefer softer rubber toys, such as “Kong” products, over harder plastic chew toys. I’ve had no issues with him chewing on household items—he’s smart and understands what’s his to play with and what’s off-limits—though he has managed to break into his toy box when left alone. Edisto has a high metabolism and sometimes needs to go outside 4–5 times a day, so making time for those breaks is important to avoid any mishaps. This boy is all GSP — high energy, wicked smart, and completely ball-obsessed. He’s known for his classic “point” when he’s locked onto a tennis ball and loves checking in for affection between play sessions. While he was quite energetic in the shelter, he settles beautifully when given the space and outlets he needs. He’s a tail-wagging, lean-in-for-love kind of guy.”

Edisto is sadly heartworm positive, so he’ll need a few more months in rescue to heal before he’s ready for adoption. Thank you, Ricardo, for all you’re doing for his boy. This is his first SEGSP foster dog and taking on a young GSP 4-months and keeping them calm during treatment is no small feat.
