Scoot boot sizing/ordering, Hoof armor Applications, thrush treatment, natural horsemanship training, & horse broker services. I have worked with horses since I arrived on the earth and I have a very strong bond and attachment to them. 28 years of experiences with horses makes you understand things about a horse that most people don't understand. Horses are a herd animal and need to feel that they

can fully trust you to keep them safe. Working with horses is about understanding how the horse thinks, moves, and feel. If you can predict what will happen before it does and communicate to the horse reassuring that they are safe being with you, you and your equine will have a great relationship and in turn will do anything you ask him to, because to him you are the his protector from anything he may be worried about.

Scoot boots are literally the closest thing to bare foot your going to get for hoof protection! They are sturdy but flexible and allow the horse to still feel the ground underneath their hoof. Professional eventers in all disciplines use these boots with high recommendation to utilize them.

They can last for year's depending on your horses gate, the terrain your riding in, and how often you use them. They are fairly affordable and cost about as much as two shoeing cycles but are going to save you so much money annually so they are so worth it!

I do fittings and can get you a pair for your equine. Ditch the steel shoes that are out dated and don't provide actual hoof protection and instead decrease frog pressure and over all distribution of weight across the horses hoof.

Are you interested in trying scoots? Let me know and let's get your horse a set or all 4, they deserve it!

I recently saw a video posted by For Farriers By Farriers with a really cool story attached. I'm not sure how true it is, but I'll paraphrase it here.

Pablo Picasso was having a drink at a cafe one day when a woman recognized him. She approached him and asked if he was really the famous artist Picasso; when he nodded that yes, he was, she handed him a pencil and napkin and insisted he do a quick sketch for her.
After a few minutes of drawing, he handed the napkin back to her, asking for a large sum of money for the sketch. The woman was shocked, and asked him how he could charge so much for something that took him 5 minutes.
Picasso replied, "My dear, you're wrong. It took me 40 years to be able to do this in 5 minutes. If it was simply a matter of a pencil, a napkin, and 5 minutes, you would have done the sketch yourself."

With recent talks of hoofcare pricing, I think the conversation needs to shift away from simply a matter of time, tools, and materials. We need to consider the years of work, perspective, and experience it takes to get to that point. Often, 10% of what you pay is for what is removed from the hoof, and the other 90% of what you pay is for the experience and knowledge of recognizing what to leave where, and why.

Haven't posted in awhile, being a Biologist and working during spotted owl season has my schedule all over the place! It requires long nights and early mornings every week. But managed to squeeze in a new clients horse, pull his shoes and give him a bare foot trim last Sunday. He is on the transitioning journey to the perfect barefoot hoof. Meet Pickles, he was such a good boy for me ❀️. Check out his before and Afters 😊

Meet the trio of Air element horses I have as new client's. Windy, Gusty, & Breezy. These girls live in a beautiful pasture out in Salmon Creek. Windy is a Founder case we are working with (sorall w/ 🌟), Breezy is the youngest (cute bay), and gusty is an older arthritic mare (she has the triangle of 3 dots on her nose). They love getting thier feet trimmed and getting treats before after and during for good behavior!
