I had the immense privilege of riding with Charles de Kunffy for years and the foundation he gave me influences every horse that I train and lesson that I teach. The way that Charles teaches his students to look at the horses and the world is without parallel.

A very warm welcome to our newest barn resident- Violet Moon (Vitalis/Templeton’s Honeymoon/Hotline) now owned by longtime barn member Kendra Sue Vollans. The sky is the limit for this diamond of a young horse and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of her journey!!!

By the legendary Vitalis, we are particularly excited that this mare is out a Templeton’s Honeymoon who was with Lisa Wilcox doing the GP.

She has been turning heads all week at the barn and impressing everyone with her super gaits, temperament, and personality!

A huge thanks to Templeton Farms and Gina Bornino Miller as well as her trainer Maxance McManamy for raising her and entrusting us with one of their favorite mares!

ISO Special Dressage Partner:
I have a mature, experienced client on a budget who needs a new dressage partner. Horse will be in a program with me, a beautiful full care facility with all amenities and have a forever home with an owner with decades of horse experience. Mare or geldings great, warmbloods or warmblood crosses preferred but open to most other breeds (no Friesians please!).

We need a new partner that is safe and sound, no bucks, bolting, spins, etc. Needs to hack out- we have miles of trails and client wants to use them! We also need a horse with some forward drive and doesn’t need to be pushed around.

Limited to Southern California.

I know we are looking for a unicorn, but here is what I will say- The clients in my barn are all A+ horse people who put their horses first. This client has decades of experience and lost her last partner after 30+ years of friendship. If you’re looking for a truly special home for your horse, please call me. Being apart of the whole journey with a horse and rider is such a rewarding role, this young mare hasn’t been easy, but she is developing into a truly special horse.

Sometimes the path isn’t always clear with a horse, but what is clear is that sticking to a path of making sure the horse is comfortable and that all of their complex needs are met, plus training and working with the horse in accordance with classical training principles, will always lead you down the correct path.

Four years ago today I won the stallion service auction bid for Herzensdieb, owned by with the plan to breed the full sister to my tremendous FEI horse Venturo.
Last weekend I had the immense honor of backing Haiku (registered name: Valparaisa) who is out of Vonrica (Leonidas/Enrico Caruso/Ith). This has been the cumulation of four years of hope and work, and she was absolutely a joy. A huge thank you to everyone who helped me along the way, , my parents, my tremendous vets at .coast.equine, the Repro vets at Scottsdale Equine Repro, Barbara Schmidt at Bridlewood Farms, Helen Shofron, my clients , .baker, , and Michele, Ricardo from .somis and of course, my favorite saddler .
