📣 Attention Remote Southern California Area Horse Owners!

HGAE has heard your concerns about limited veterinary access in remote areas, and we’re excited to announce our new Remote Area In-Field Equine Health Clinics with Dr. Kathryn Browne, DVM, DACVIM-LAIM — bringing top-tier equine veterinary care directly to your community.

📍 Currently Scheduled Clinics:

• Lancaster, California – June 17, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM
• Tehachapi, California – July 21, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM

Both dates currently have appointment availability.

Host ranch address will be provided upon booking.

👉 Minimum Requirements:
• At least 10 horses must be scheduled for each clinic
• The $500 service-call fee will be split among participating owners

⚠️ Please note: These clinics are time-sensitive and require enough scheduled appointments in order to move forward. If we do not receive the minimum number of sign-ups, we may need to cancel or reschedule the clinic date.

🐴It is always a pleasure to see healing. This foal came to HGAE at only 12 hours old, he wasn’t feeling too hot to trot. But after a few days with Dr. Katheryn Browne, he was back in action ready to take on the world galloping into his future. 🐎

This clinic is designed to help horse owners in remote areas who may have limited access to veterinary care or difficulty traveling long distances.

We need a minimum of 10 horses scheduled in order to make this clinic possible and cost-effective.

Please call the office as soon as possible to reserve your appointment so we can confirm the clinic, prepare supplies, and organize the schedule.

Important Details:

• A minimum of 10 horses is required for this in-field clinic day.
• The $500 service call fee will be divided among participating owners.
• All appointments must be scheduled through the HGAE office.
• No-shows will be billed for their portion of the shared service call.

UPDATE: We are back up with electricity. Our staff is laughing with each other, we get all our generators set up ready to go, plug in our lab machines, get the barn an treatment rooms ready to go, plug in our wifi computers and our phones. Set up takes about an hour. And right when everything is running…. P**f the power comes on. We will chalk this up to an impromptu training.
