PLEASE READ - SECOND UPDATE - PLEASE SHARE: Mongo is still available. Due to absolutely no fault of his own, his potential home in Kentucky has fallen through. Please share and let’s find this amazing boy his forever loving home home.
Meet Mongo! Due to no fault of his own, this handsome boy is looking for his new forever home. His owner has been diagnosed with very serious medical condition and is looking to place him in a forever loving home. (Please note, Mongo is not from the Sequoyah breeding program.) You can read more about him below and contact his owner direct if you’re interested in meeting him. Please help us find Mongo a loving home by sharing this post. Thank you!
A note from Mongo’s owner … Mongo is 6 years old. He is an extremely loyal and loving dog. He is a watcher and loves to keep watch over his house from the window. He has been under the care of Sequoyah Animal Hospital since we got him. He is neutered. He does prefer to be active and get quite a bit of exercise. He loves to snuggle in our bed at night. He has gotten along with other dogs so far, but he is not a fan of cats. He has always been very good with our son, but hasn’t been exposed much to super young toddlers/babies. He knows basic commands like sit and lay down. He is leash trained, but is quite a puller if he isn’t on a pinch collar, so he would probably be best with a younger/stronger person. He would probably be best with an experienced working breed dog owner as he still has a lot of energy. He is crate/house trained and will let you know when he needs to go potty. He does not enjoy being in his crate when his people are home, but is used to being crated when we are gone. It has been a terribly difficult decision for us to find him a new forever home. I have been battling ovarian cancer while still working full time and just cannot give him the physical activity that he needs. We have also moved in with my 89 year old grandmother, and while it isn’t intentional she has gotten tangled up in Mongo a few times and almost fallen. She also is not physically able to handle him when we aren’t home. He isn’t doing well in the new environment and at this point, we feel It would be selfish to have him crated so much of the day. He needs an active, loving family he can be a part of and protect. We would require meeting any potential families, seeing their home, and a rehoming fee of $200 for his safety. We will provide his crate, food bowls, first bag of food, medical record, CKC paperwork, collars, and leash. Anyone interested can email me at [email protected] or text my husband at 423-305-2740. We would prefer text so he can respond when he’s able at or after work. Thanks again. (Located in the Chattanooga, TN area)
