Good morning Socorro community.

We're wrapping up this week with three new puppies that have been in our care since being dropped off at our back door. All three of them are super sweet, with so much personality. Among them are two males and one female, that we are seeking to find homes for. They have recieved initial puppy vaccinations to protect them and are transitioning to a puppy friendly food. ***Amended-Blue's forever home has been found! He is back home safe and sound.

This sweet furball has been hanging out at our practice for a while now, and has unfortunately been considered abandoned. With the shelter at capacity, we figured until we can find further accommodations for him, we would post up some photos to see if his forever home can be found any sooner. His name is Blue, he has a microchip in place registered to the Albuquerque Animal Welfare department & has recently been sterilized. He has vaccination protection on board with his Da2pp and 1 year Rabies Vaccination. Blue has been a super sweet and fun mannered dog to have around, lots of smiles and even more tail wags. If anyone might be interested in giving Blue a space in their home, please, feel free to contact the office.

***update: this sweet boy's owner has been located and he is back home with his family! Thank you for sharing our post!

Found at Animal Haven! This friendly guy came to us Friday afternoon (2/22) after the rainstorm. He is neutered, has a collar, and is microchipped. However; the microchip was not registered so we are unable to contact the owner. We have contacted the shelter, but would love to reunite him with his owners before they pick up! As many of you may know we will be closed this 4th of July (July 2nd-8th) with both doctors out of town. Here are some tips to help keep your pets safe this holiday. Please, if you have any questions or concerns before we are gone for the week please contact the clinic before Saturday 6/30 by 1pm. We hope all of our clients and their pets have a safe and wonderful holiday!

July 4th is approaching, which means it's time to consider how fireworks will affect your pets. Shelters have a high influx of pets around Independence Day because the sound of fireworks can frighten them, and there's a greater chance they'll try to run away. Consider keeping your pets at home and indoors during the festivities, and talk with your veterinarian about ways you can reduce the risk of problems. Hello Socorro community! Do you or anyone you know recognize this little guy? He was found cruising down the NW Frontage Rd in front of the clinic nearly getting hit by a car. Unfortunately he was not microchipped and had no collar w/ tags. If he looks familiar please give us a call at the clinic (575)-835-3545 we will be calling the shelter and will be taking him there if no owner is found
