Today started about the same as yesterday. Thank goodness it had a way better outcome. Dr. Cornwall at Br. Animal Hospital helped us once again. DDS Juniper and her precious baby girl are home and doing great. This is the end of 2026 kidding season. I am thankful for supportive people who always step up and are there for us 🥰. Now time to rest and enjoy babies.

As many of you know someone days raising livestock plain out suck. Today was one of those days. I noticed Arizona showing signs of labor last night about 8:30pm. I watched her close. I saw her up and down and some light pushes. No goo thought. I monitored her until 3:30 am. I tried to sleep and set alarms every hour to check on her. Tons of rocking and standing zoning out. By 10 this am nothing had changed. BRIN manually dialated her and pushing began. We tried several times and called it and loaded her headed for the vet. 35 miles away. On the way the vet called us back and informed us no large animal vet was in office today or on call. 🤯what?!?!? So we headed to Stone Man Farm and called in Cache Kids for assistance as well. My ladies came through. Jan had a wonderful set up and we continued to try until Jo arrived. After a long while and Brin calling the vet again and pleading for help we headed to the vet. A c-section was performed removing a 7.1lb buckling (deceased) ... please pray for Arizona as she is in rough shape. I am so thankful for my ladies and the quick response they had. And also to the neighbor who was willing to jump right in and try to help.
