**Zoe found her family**

Military deployment unfortunately has Zoe looking for a new home. Zoe is a lovely spayed female out of our 2017 Kenzo x Atena litter and she sounds like the sweetest girl. She is great with kids and other dogs. Owners say they aren't sure about cats but the neighbors have chickens that free roam in the yard and Zoe does fine around them.
Like any rottweiler, Zoe has lots of energy. She mostly hangs out inside with the family or outside in the yard. She has a big yard and loves to run around, but needs some work on a leash. She is a snuggle buddy and loves to be around people.

**UPDATE**
Today wasn't the day for Dex. He is still looking for his perfect home! Dex is super sweet and loving, he will do anything for praises and treats. He is intelligent and strong willed (strong physically as well). He has met our rottie neutral cats and gave them kisses, he loves our frenchie, and has met our boy Karl and girl Heidi and does just fine with them. He has met our goats and although he finds them interesting, he looks and then goes about what he's doing. He really is a super sweet, energetic boy that needs a job. He would do really well at scent work or barn hunt as he really really really likes to follow his nose. He needs someone that understands they are not going to dominate or control him but build a relationship of communication. He has really bad resource guarding in his crate with toys that needs to be worked out but he does a really good trade off for treats. His favorite game is catching treats in the air. He needs a home with people that are very experienced in rottweilers and canine behavior. He is not for the faint of heart but will make a fabulous addition to the right home. For the last few weeks, we have been fostering this super sweet, super boy Dexter. He is very affectionate and alot of dog! This morning he is going to meet a family that will hopefully love him as much as we do. Fingers crossed this is Dex's forever family.

We spent the last week visiting with "Winter" Hilde Von Ostenberg and her family in Arizona. Winter is out of our 2022 Goose x Freyja litter. Like the other puppies in this litter, Hilde is intelligent, fun and super sweet. She loves her family and her family loves her. She is a little adventure dog and super spoiled!

Extremely grateful to be able to spend the last few weeks with Henrietta Von Ostenberg. Henrietta is out of our 2022 Goose x Freyja litter. At almost 6 months old, Henrietta is intelligent, fun and super sweet. I Love the personalities from this litter!

Freyja Vom Ostenberg OFA Legg-Calve-Perthes Normal!

What is Legg-Calve-Perthes disease?

Legg-Calve-Perthes disease is also known as avascular or aseptic necrosis of the femoral head. This is a condition in which the head of the femur (the ‘ball’ in the ball-and-socket joint that forms the hip) spontaneously begins to degenerate. Over time, this degeneration will cause collapse of the hip and lead to arthritis.

What causes Legg-Calve-Perthes disease?

The exact cause of this condition is unknown. Studies suggest that disrupted blood flow to the hip may be involved and this disruption may be due to clots within the blood vessels. The bone begins to weaken and deteriorate, leading to small fractures. Over time, scar tissue may develop to stabilize the bone, however changes in the bone structure will lead to arthritis. A genetic cause for this condition is suspected, though this has not been confirmed.
